SQL Stored Procedure not accepting parameters

Hi

I am using DB2 on the iSeries. I create a SQL Stored procedure in
iSeries Navigator by running a sql script. The declaration of the
procedure is as follows:

CREATE PROCEDURE Andrew.GetLarge stFreeBlock(
IN filename CHAR(10),
IN surrogatename CHAR(10))
LANGUAGE SQL
BEGIN

I use the filename and surrogatename in my procedure. When I run the
script it creates a program GETLA00001 in my library. When I try to
run the program it crashes. When I use DSPPGM on it I see that it
says that the number of parameters is 0. Does anybody have any
ideas? Do I have to do anything special when running the script to
create the program?

Thanks

I'm trying to use a servlet to process a form, then send that data to an SQL server stored procedure. I'm using the WebLogic 8 App. server. I am able to retrieve database information, so I know my application server can talk to the database. I've determined the failure occurs when the the following statement is executed: cstmt.execute(); (due to the failure of println statements placed afterwards). I get the following error after trying to...

I've created a system or external trigger on an AS/400 file a.k.a DB2 table. (Note this is an external trigger defined with the ADDPFTRG CL command, not a SQL trigger defined with the CREATE TRIGGER statement.) I've also defined a SQL stored proc, and the trigger is set to call this SP. I've posted the simplified source below. I can manually call the stored proc, and the external trigger is created without any errors. However, when I do...

Im writing an SSIS script task using VB.NET. I'd like to be able to initiate an oracle stored procedure call for a process that will run for 8 hours, but I don't want my process to wait for it finish. In fact, I'd like the ssis job to terminate after it launches it. How can I do this using vb.net/ado.net? How can I later electronically locate and track that process? Thanks for any help or information.

From a security point of view, is accepting wildcards like "%" in input parameters of stored procedures against any best practices? As an example, if a user defined function uses "Productname LIKE @ProductName" in WHERE clause of a select statement, and a stored procedure uses the user defined function while passing @ProductName input parameter to the user defined function, is there any security risks? Is there a better way to construct...

Overview: Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...

Let's talk about the concept of autonomous AI software engineers and no-code agents. These AIs are designed to manage the entire lifecycle of a software development project—planning, coding, testing, and deployment—without human intervention. Imagine an AI that can take a project description, break it down, write the code, debug it, and then launch it, all on its own.... Now, this would greatly impact the work of software developers. The idea...

Hello I'm a network technician in training and I need your help. I am currently learning how to create and manage the different types of VPNs and I have a question about LAN-to-LAN VPNs. The last exercise I practiced was to create a LAN-to-LAN VPN between two Pfsense firewalls, by using IPSEC protocols. I succeeded, with both firewalls in the same network. But I'm wondering if it's possible to do the same thing, with 2 Pfsense firewalls...
