Connection from Java appliaction to DB2

3 New Member
Hi All,

I am trying to connect to DB2 database from an java application, but my connection fails. I tries with two types of drivers
type2 driver com.ibm.db2.jdb c.app.db2driver
and type4 driver com.ibm.db2.jcc .db2driver

My connection string is of the form
jdbc:db2:/server:port/db alais-name

For this type of remote connection to db2 server from an db2 client i think we need to use Type4 java driver.

I have copied the db2jcc.jar file from my ins directory.
While trying to open that file

I am getting an error as
Java Virtual Machine Launcher error
Failed to load main class manifest attribute from
(Location of the file)

Kindly please the exact solution by which i can connect to my DB2 database from my java client application(swi ng based)

Also tell me whether i need to start any files before running my application.

thanks

I am trying to implement Oracle connection pooling for the following code, which was written by someone else. Here is my main question -- this java file creates code that is executed every hour, but once per week, the oracle server is brought down for backup. At that time, I get an error that looks like I have the wrong credentials for the database. For every subsequent attempt to run the hourly process, I am getting a broken pipe error,...

I am attempting this either via JSP or a servlet. I have a separate java application that I can run from the command line and as long as the user has the correct env variables:

Hello folks, I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>". The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed. This is as boiled down as I can make it. Here is my compilation command: g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp Here is the code in...

Hello I'm a network technician in training and I need your help. I am currently learning how to create and manage the different types of VPNs and I have a question about LAN-to-LAN VPNs. The last exercise I practiced was to create a LAN-to-LAN VPN between two Pfsense firewalls, by using IPSEC protocols. I succeeded, with both firewalls in the same network. But I'm wondering if it's possible to do the same thing, with 2 Pfsense firewalls...
