I'm a newbie to DB2 and am trying to figure out how to write a stored procedure, using dynamic SQL statements to return a result set. Question: How do I pass a returning resultset from a nested Stored Procedure (which opens a cursor including option "WITH RETURN TO CALLER") as a returning resultset from it's own? When I execute the top-level Stored Procedure, it executes succesfully, but without any resultset. ========================================================== CREATE PROCEDURE sp_executesql(sqltxt CLOB(2M))

In P1, I want to retrieve the result set returned by P2 into a cursor, iterate through the cursor and insert records into a temporary table created in P1. 5. Here are the steps I followed inside the stored proced P1: /* Declare the variable */

To minimize database calls, I would like to have a single stored procedure return all the data necessary to display on my page. This information is related from several different tables and what I would like to do is to match the information loaded into a DataSet with the information in the database. For instance, suppose that I have a Customer table and an Order table. I would like to return a single customer and all their orders in a...

My main problem with that proc is that whether I can retun the result set from the proc without closing the cursor...

Hello PHP group, Could someone help me out? I have PHP 5.2, Apache 2.0, and MySQL 5.0 running on Linux (Redhat Fedora Core 6). All that works fine. I would like to be able to "call" a stored procedure from a PHP program, and run a stored procedure. I have yet to figure out the proper way to do this. My stored procedures work fine from the mysql command line using syntax: "call sp_min_record (101);"
