Strange Problem with DB2 Replication V8

1 New Member
Hi all,

I have been trying to set up replication using the Replication center. The replication center is installed on a windows box; the source and db targets are on Linux.

DAS is running on all 3 and all the nodes and DBs are cataloged on the Windows box, as well as linux box. I have defined the replication but when I start Capture, nothing happens. Starting the Apply is working fine but I can't get anything going for Capture from the Windows station.

If I go directly to Linux server, I can start the Capture there but I wish to do it from the Windows control station.

One strange behavior that I see on the Control Center is that when I expand the source database and click on the Tables folder, I can only see the tables that I have defined. none of catalog tables or ASN tables are displayed. The folder icon has 2 arrows on it. Any idea why?

Thanks in advance

I have a distributed inventory control database that I am going to migrate from Access to SQL Server. I am going to use SQL Server Replication to keep the data current. There will one SQL Server 2000 database at HeadOffice, and about 200 branches will each have MSDE 2000. For tables that are the same for each branch (e.g. StockItems, Suppliers), I'm going to use Transactional replication with the HeadOffice as Publisher. There is no...

Hi to all: I have build an application with Visual Basic .NET, to start SQL Server replication. For each replication initiated (50 replication each 10 minutes), I create a new thread. The application works great for 4 or 5 hours, but after that, the refresh of the screen stops, and any other program I run (like internet explorer) won't refresh. Also, In my application I use a Timer control, and it won't run any tick event.

Hi, Has anyone encountered infinite looping in Q Replication? This happens when I have a source DB2 table A going to a target DB2 table B, it also happens that the samne target table B is replicated back to source table A (true bi-directional replication scenario). Once I start replication on a master to master scenario the changes in A gets replicated to B but that change gets replicated back to A and so on creating an infinite loop. Is...

Hi I have a client running an Access 2000 database on a small network with 3 pc's. Two of the laptop pcs have a data replica, which they use when not connected to the network, the 'server' being the 3rd machine. The other day they reported that 'suddenly' a whole load of data that they had entered (on to the 'server' main data) that day had 'disappeared'. Not only had the new data gone, but updates performed

Hi We have an access app (front-end+backend) running on the company network. I am trying to setup replication for laptop users who go into field and need the data synched between their laptops and the server upon return to the office. I am planning it this; Move all access tables to sql server and then link the tables to access front-end mdb app (using odbc?). Copy the same setup (access front end + sql backend) onto each laptop....

Are there any docs that deal with replication and Postgresql? Intro's, faq's, etc. Can anybody recommend a Postgresql replication package? I'm really not familiar with any - seems like there are several, with possibly Slony rising to the forefront. Are there any docs that compare the various options? Would there be any problems replicating data between

Hi! When I'm using IMPORT with INSERT_UPDATE I sometimes get SQL0100W No row was found for FETCH, UPDATE or DELETE; or the result of a query is an empty table. I'm not sure why this happens. The problem is that I get rejected rows because of this. Best regards,

Overview: Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...

Dear forum friends, With the development of smart home technology, a variety of wireless communication protocols have appeared on the market, such as Zigbee, Z-Wave, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, etc. Each protocol has its own unique characteristics and advantages, but as a user who is planning to build a smart home system, I am a bit confused by the choice of these technologies. Let's talk about the concept of autonomous AI software engineers and no-code agents. These AIs are designed to manage the entire lifecycle of a software development projectplanning, coding, testing, and deploymentwithout human intervention. Imagine an AI that can take a project description, break it down, write the code, debug it, and then launch it, all on its own.... Now, this would greatly impact the work of software developers. The idea...
