Hi,
When I create a new database from Enterprise Manager (right click on
databases > New Database) I noticed that I am not prompted to create a
password or user name. Can I take it then that all databases under the
same local group will have the same password and user name?
I have tied to access the newly created database using the same
password and username but haven't had any luck.

The trouble is that when running this shortcut, it prompts first for a
Logon, asking for user name and password -- then it prompts for the database
password. (Two password prompts).

I have a password secured database. After the password is entered the
user has a form that I created that allows them to search the database
and retrieve information.
The problem is that the connection string requires a the database
password even though the user entered it to open the database. How can
I get the password from the system to build the connection string?

I have problem opening my existing projects or newly created project. It
asks me for user name and password and if I provide then it allows me to
open but when I debug either it gives error message that you are not the
debugger user (although I am administrator of my computer) or while running
it doesnot connect to the database server. I am using NT authentication.
Please help.

I had a web page that worked very nicely until I changed the SA
password.
The page used data widgets for connectivity to SQL server.
I changed the password in the Server Explorer link, but the code gets
to the .fill method and gives me an error that SA can't login.
I've now spent several hours futzing with the widgets, reconnecting to
the database which tests OK, and I still can't get past the .fill.
It's clear that MS buries code...

I have some accounting and tax receipting type applications, developed
for charitable and non profit groups, that are exhibiting strange
behaviour on a few of the 30 or 40 user machines.
When some users (about 3 or 4 it seems) close the frontend db the Access
database password prompt appears. Users can just Cancel the pw prompt
(or enter the correct password) and the db will then close.

When the password is hashed and most secure this control mails a new
password to anybody that provides an authenticated user name. The previous
password can no longer be used to login. The newly "recovered" password must
be used to login and then the user must change the newly generated password
back to what may be a preferred password.
