DB2 Scheduler on Windows stops scheduling.

I,m trying to run the DB2 scheduler (DB2 v8.2) on windows server 2003
web edition. It runs for 5 days max and then stops scheduling. DAS is
still running and there are no helpful messages in dasdiag.log. Have
any of you had this behaviour?

We have developed an application in VB6 (say AA.exe). We wish to schedule the execution of this application (AA.exe) through Windows Task Scheduler. Is there a way through which we can add this application (AA.exe) to Task Scheduler by using another application (say BB.exe), which is also developed using VB6? The operating systems can be Windows 2000, Windows XP or any later version of Windows... We also wish that whenever the second...

Hi, I am writing an App in .Net that involves some scheduling of tasks. I was wondering if anybody has come accross any components or examples of how to implement a schedule manager like the one in the Task Scheduler for Windows? Basically I'm after something that'll allow me to specify a "recurring" or "once off" schedule with advanced options like "the first monday in the month" etc.

Anyone know of a reliable design for a Windows C++ Task Scheduler Class. The scheduler will expose a member function that will add schedules, its parameters will be an interval to run the tasks and a function pointer. This function pointer will be a void* function in other objects that will use the scheduler. So when another object calls the addSchedule function the scheduler will run these tasks at each interval provided. There may...

Hi there, Does any body know where can I find a good Scheduler components (for appointment scheduling) for .NET.? I'm developing a scheduling application and I need to either build one from scratch, which I have no idea how to do that, or get a prebuild scheduler component that I can just include it in the application. Any advices, ideas, hints would much appreciated.

Hi, I am implementing a scheduler that will fire a command every 15 or 30 minutes. I would like to use web service interface to control the timer (start, stop, etc). I think a workable solution is to implement the timer in a Windows Service and use the web service to minotor and control the windows service, but I don't like the "web service + windows service" solution. It would be better if everything is in the web service package. The...

I am trying to call a macro using a command file by using Windows Scheduler. I am able to run the command file and the macro runs without issue if I doubleclick on the *.cmd file. When I try scheduling the job to run via scheduler it appears that Accesss opens(I can see MSAccess in the task manager window) but the macro is not invoked. Does anyone have an idea what the issue can be? I am able to call command files to run pl scripts...

Is there a .NET (2003) class available somewhere that might provide a comprehensive task scheduler with a better granularity than the one minute of the built-in scheduler on XP? Even down to 15 seconds would be better than one minute. Sid.

I've to call 2 web method from time to time so that the web service will do cleanup and sync jobs on a database. These methods can be called once every X days where X >= Y for the sync method and X >= Z Y for the cleanup method with Y and Z specified by the user in the app.config file. Is it best to create a web service client app and schedule it with Windows Scheduler or to create a web service client Windows Service that will use a...

Overview: Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...

Hello I'm a network technician in training and I need your help. I am currently learning how to create and manage the different types of VPNs and I have a question about LAN-to-LAN VPNs. The last exercise I practiced was to create a LAN-to-LAN VPN between two Pfsense firewalls, by using IPSEC protocols. I succeeded, with both firewalls in the same network. But I'm wondering if it's possible to do the same thing, with 2 Pfsense firewalls...
