I recently wrote a program with MS Visual Studio C++, sent it off to the
client where it didn't run, after some probing I discover they are on a Mac!
My program is a MSF interface that is really only 2 File buttons with
corresponding text fields. The actual guts of the program is a C file that
accepts 2 file names as arguments and reads from one file, manipulates the
string and writes it to another file. Java and C syntax are very similar....

I'm trying to read a file that contains text for a decimal count, convert it
to binary, increment and write it back out. I'm using Java 2 in SuSE 8.2,
installed from the SuSE CD's.
When using FileReader the values that are read in are the ASCII values of
the decimal count, formatted as two bytes for each original single ASCII
byte. Converting it to an integer results in a double digit value for each
original single digit value:

I am attempting to write a program with VB 2005 Express Edition which
accesses an Oracle 9 database and dumps the results of three SELECT
queries into a spreadsheet file once every hour.
Modifications will be being made to the database whilst this program is

It seems imposible to read data from a server, however, I can read the validation data from the server and hold it in dataviews . datasets or data tables in my asp "load" page. Hai Implemented a code that will read the 100s of files from a directory.

Hello folks,
I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>".
The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed.
This is as boiled down as I can make it.
