Howto: Emergency SHUTOFF all monitoring & stats collections?!

Well folks, I didn't heed the warnings (that excessive monitoring,
statistics, etc. can cause a performance hit) and I have been playing
around with all kinds of monitors, snapshots, especially with the gui.
BUT! Performance has dropped 70%! The monitors show that the the most
system overhead is caused by these selects themselves.
Question 1: Is there a big red switch that turns OFF *all* of this type of
activity!
Question 2: If so, can I flip em all on again (just for temp test)?

I definitely need monitoring, but I guess I need to do it one at a time
and measure the impact of that monitor itself, before doing another.

Please advise. Thanks.

update the dbm cfg to turn off the monitoring...
ex:
update dbm cfg using DFT_MON_BUFPOOL off ...etc
use monitor switches for temp. monitoring, it will end once you
terminate your session.
ex:
update monitor switches using BUFFERPOOL on LOCK on SORT on STATEMENT
on TABLE on UOW on global;

Besides monitoring is there other stuff? I am sure I told it to do other
fancy stuff, just don't remember what at this [nerve racking] moment.
Thanks.

Fwiw, it seems like it was the STATEMENT monitor. Man, that accumulates
data!

All my mailboxes have been filling up with files of about 130k to 150k, no doubt copies of some immensely popular virus. So, I've no doubt lost lots of real mail because of "mailbox full" conditions (the proliferating fake bounce messages more or less ensure nobody knows their mail to me has bounced, either). As an emergency response I and Anna developed, over the last half hour, a small Python script to be run from cron every few...

For the IBM DB2 Development following this group. SNMP is coming back in a big way. Changes in Version 2c and adoptions of Version 3 are ushering in the adoption of SNMP back into the enterprise. Your customers are going to be asking for the inclusion of SNMP back into the monitoring suite. I'm not just talking about sending piddly SNMP traps. I mean the "real meat" stats you get out of your DB2 instances (physical-to-logical layout,...

I am building from a freshly downloaded tar.gz of 7.4.3. The machine is a 4CPU Dell with an unsupported RH 9 install. I am trying to write some code behind a button on a form called "Membership & Fee Stats" which navigates to the associated Client record on the Clients form. I was getting an error when clicking the button where the . wasn't populated for some records...

Hello folks, I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>".
