I'm able to call a COBOL program directly using the iDB2 .NET native
provider and run it if I hard code the parameters.
However, I want to use InputOutput parameters to return values.
However, it does not seem that these get replaced by the values they are
passed in "as is". Example, if I use @P1 as a parameter, the value
sent in is "@P1" literally.
Can someone show me an example of calling a COBOL program (not a stored
procedure) and using dynamic parameters?

i may have been a bit glib in today's meeting. the issue of
whether one could access tables from multiple schemas in a
390 instance came up. i piped up with, "easy".
now, i was speaking from using AQT and dynamic queries. just
prepend the schema name, and let er rip. big deal. then my cobol

I'm new to stored procedures, however, the passing of parameters using a
group item in the calling cobol program seems incorrect to me. Would
this work?
Calling COBOL pgm is calling a stored procedure using a group 01 level
and the receiving COBOL procedure has 01 levels for each parameter.
Environment is z/OS, DB2, CICS, COBOL, LE. The procedure is local using
WLM. DB2 version is 7.x and CICS is TS 2.2, I think.
