Ranjit,

You can't set the Isolation Level at the database level. Every db2
client connection has its own isolation level.

Ranjit,
I am not sure if the isolation can be set at the database level....
But, u can surely find a working alternative...
Isolation level can be specified at various level
.. At precompile or bind time
If u have your own bind file, isolation level is stored in it.

.. At statment level
Use the with clause with every sql statement.

.. From CLI or ODBC at run-time
From DB2 call level interfaces u can changes the isolation level as part of the db2 cli cfg parameter. You can use the TXNISOLATION keyword
in the db2cli.ini file for the same

..JDBC or SQLJ runtime
JDBC & SQLJ are implemented with CLI in DB2, which means db2cli.ini cfg
setting might apply. You can use the setTransactionI solation method of
java.sql interface connection.
Depending on ur needs u can opt for path to change the isolation level.
(Default is CS for most)

I used Enterprise Manager to change the data type of one table column from one thing to another. When I attempted to save the change, I was warned that "one or more existing columns have ANSI_PADDING 'off' and will be re-created with ANSI_PADDING 'on'". I didn't expect to see this message. I verified that ANSI_PADDING is 'off' at the database level by running the following statement: SELECT DATABASEPROPERTYEX('database',...

I'm having trouble setting decimal place values in the results field of a sample management database I'm building for an environmental testing laboratory. The degree of sensitivity varies among test methods; consequently, some results are reported to 2 decimal places, some to 3, etc. The Results subform consists of Test Parameter, Result, Report Unit, Analysis Date, Analyst and other fields. The test parameter control is a drop-down...

Hi, I'm using PHP 4.4.4 on Apache 2 on Fedora Core 5. PHP was installed using Apache's apxs and the php library was installed to /usr/local/php. However, when I set my "error_reporting" setting to be "E_ALL", notices are still not getting reported. The perms on my file are 664, with owner root and group root. The php.ini file is located at /usr/local/lib/php/php.ini. Any ideas why the setting does not seem to be having an effect? ...

I believe this issue is specific to ASP.NET. Why does VB.NET (2.0) ignore the project-level setting for Option Strict? I have the setting turned on in web.config: <compilation debug="true" strict="true" explicit="true" urlLinePragmas="true"/> And also in the preferences:

We have an issue with load time in several installations of our application. We've located the information regarding KB 936707 and ensured that the application config file contains the runtime setting of <generatePublisherEvidence enabled="false"/> but the application still takes over 2 minutes to load. When we disconnect the PC from the network (internet) then the application loads in about 5 seconds. We've ensured the .net 2.0...

Hello folks, I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>". The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed. This is as boiled down as I can make it. Here is my compilation command: g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp Here is the code in...

Let's talk about the concept of autonomous AI software engineers and no-code agents. These AIs are designed to manage the entire lifecycle of a software development project—planning, coding, testing, and deployment—without human intervention. Imagine an AI that can take a project description, break it down, write the code, debug it, and then launch it, all on its own.... Now, this would greatly impact the work of software developers. The idea...
