If I have a table with an autonumber primary key and 100 records and I delete
the last 50 records, the next record added would have a primary key of 101. Is
there any way to have the primary key start at 51 after the last 50 records are
deleted?
Thanks!

In ASP.NET 1.1 and/or 2.0 .....
Is it possible to configure a web-app so that replacement of an .xml file
( physically located under the virtual dir root ) with a newer version of
the file causes a web-app restart ... ?
Also, is a stopping and starting a website in IIS the only way to restart a
web-app ?
(Of course, iisreset stops and starts all web-apps on the web-server ... but

Hello,
I have to design a table wich will store some action reports. Each
report have an ID like this 1/2004, 2/2004, ... and each years, they
restart to 1 (1/2004, 1/2005, 1/2006,...).
So, I was thinking to split that in two fields : one with the increment
and one with the year. But I don't know how can I manage the sequences
since I have to restart to 0 each year...

Hi,
I have a question about sequences. I need a field to have values with
no holes in the sequence. However, the values do not need to be in order.
My users will draw a number or numbers from the sequence and write to
the field. Sometimes, however, these sequence numbers will be discarded
(after a transaction is complete), and thus available for use. During
the transaction, however, any drawn numbers need to be unavailable.
I would...

Can anyone explain in greater (and more comprehensive) detail what the
RESTART option does in the ALTER TABLE table ALTER COLUMN statement.
This is the description in Info Center:
RESTART or RESTART WITH numeric-constant
Resets the state of the sequence associated with the identity column.
If WITH numeric-constant is not specified, the sequence for the
identity column is restarted at the value that was specified, either
implicitly or...

I'm making a sequence class for my C++ class. And The thing is in the array that I have, lets say i put in {13,17,38,18}, when i see the current values for the array data from 0 to3, I get this {13, JUNK VALUE, 17,38, 18} and JUNK VALUE is like 1.8e831 or something like that.
This happens when I use the attach() function and use the current() function to display the values at data

You can effortlessly switch the default language on Windows 10 without reinstalling. I'll walk you through it.
First, let's disable language synchronization. With a Microsoft account, language settings sync across devices. To prevent any complications,...

Hello folks,
I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>".
The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed.
This is as boiled down as I can make it.
Here is my compilation command:
g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp
Here is the code in...

Dear forum friends,
With the development of smart home technology, a variety of wireless communication protocols have appeared on the market, such as Zigbee, Z-Wave, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, etc. Each protocol has its own unique characteristics and advantages, but as a user who is planning to build a smart home system, I am a bit confused by the choice of these technologies. Let's talk about the concept of autonomous AI software engineers and no-code agents. These AIs are designed to manage the entire lifecycle of a software development project—planning, coding, testing, and deployment—without human intervention. Imagine an AI that can take a project description, break it down, write the code, debug it, and then launch it, all on its own....
Now, this would greatly impact the work of software developers. The idea...
