I have two functions in my shared library which are declared as
follows:
void setName(const std::string& str);
std::vector<std::string> getInfo();
Since the code is compiled and in shared library. Every thing is great
if the customer of my shared library is using the same compiler
version (and same STL version). I am wondering if the customer changes
their compiler version (or STL version) which may have same interface

I am experiencing a library issue that appears to be environment
related but cannot isolate the cause. I would greatly appreciate any

Hi, I am trying to run my application (32-bit) on HP-UX 11.22i (64-bit)
and am getting the above message while dynamically loading libdb2.so
from my application. I am using dlopen as follows:
dlopen(libName, RTLD_NOW);
I have looked up notes from DB2 that say that as long as I link with
32-bit DB2 libs, the application should work. I have made sure I have

I recently started working a lot more in python than I have done in
the past. And I discovered something that totally removed the pretty
pink clouds of beautifulness that had surrounded my previous python
experiences: magic names (I felt almost as sad as when I discovered
the strange pink worms that eat you in nethack, not to mention the
mind flayers - I really hate them).

I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>".
The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed.
