Hi.
I'm a new user of Python but I have noted a little problem.
Python is a very good language but it is evolving, in particular its
library is evolving.
This can be a problem when, ad example, a module change its interface
or its implementation in a fundamental way (an example: wxPython).
This, I think, can be resolved by allowing an user to explicitly say
what version of a module it wants (sush as version numbers in Linux
shared...

Apologies...I'm sure this has been asked before, but I can't seem to
come up with the correct Google search terms.
While my problem is with stylesheets, the errors are being caused by
my javascript, so this seemed a more appropriate place to post.
I'm using a media=print style sheet to do a version of a web page that
I am building. Currently, I'm working on the IE version.
I have an HTML page and 2 style sheets which all validate...

I know no one will probably answer this... It looks like IBM started
including Libeay32.dll in the DB2 Client. Of course, this has put us
in DLL hell. It is conflicting with Paymentech credit card processing
software. Anyone dealt with this situation before?
Thanks,
Craig Wahlmeier

This is a general posting of how I fixed a problem created by using the
Access 97 ODE Setup Wizard on a Windows XP machine. I hope it helps anyone
who comes across the problem saves them the 3 days its taken me to sort out.
The application generates the following error:
"Incompatible version of the RPC stub"
This occurs when trying to run Outlook to send an email. However I expect it
would occur for any operation which uses...

Forgive me for re-posting this...in the first post, I replied to myself, and
the self-reply may having sounded like I found the problem, but it was
actually a correction.

I have a very strange problem trying to link the debug version of my caller
application with one of my DLL's using .NET 2K5. The linker declares the

I reviewed a similar post on an older version of DB2. I was wondering
if there was anything available now that is more precise in gathering
the db2 version for the new v8 calls.
I am running DB2 v8 FP9 and was wondering if anyone knows if there is
an existing API (or perhaps an easy way) to obtain the current DB2
version on the machine?
I have only found one way so far where you can use the statement as
follows:

I'm a newbie experimenting with Python. I want to incrementally develop
a module called 'circle'. The problem is now that the file name is used
for two purposes. To keep track of the version number and as the name
for the module. So when I develop the first version of my file I have
to call it circle_a.py. The name of the module then automatically
becomes circle_a. But when I develop the next increment and call my
file circle_b.py the...

Would there be issues (registry settings, environment
variables, whatever) if a person tried to install
versions 1.x and 2.x simultaneously on one Windows
system? Windows 98, if it matters.
(I can handle the file associations with no problem.)
Thanks.

Hi Ng!
My application (version 1 a1) communicates with a service (version 1
s1). Now I would like to update the service and create a service
version 2 (s2). The new function calls within s2 are implemented in a
new interface, which derive from the old one to ensure that an old
version of my application (a1) still works with s2.
If i run my new version of the application a2 with s1 I get a
InvalidCastException (Return argument has an...

Most computers default to English, but sometimes we require a different language, especially when relocating. Forgot to request a specific language before your computer shipped? No problem! You can effortlessly switch the default language on Windows 10 without reinstalling. I'll walk you through it.
First, let's disable language synchronization. With a Microsoft account, language settings sync across devices. To prevent any complications,...

Hello folks,
I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>".
The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed.
This is as boiled down as I can make it.
Here is my compilation command:
g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp
Here is the code in...

Dear forum friends,
With the development of smart home technology, a variety of wireless communication protocols have appeared on the market, such as Zigbee, Z-Wave, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, etc. Each protocol has its own unique characteristics and advantages, but as a user who is planning to build a smart home system, I am a bit confused by the choice of these technologies. I'm particularly interested in Zigbee because I've heard it does some...

Hello
I'm a network technician in training and I need your help.
I am currently learning how to create and manage the different types of VPNs and I have a question about LAN-to-LAN VPNs.
The last exercise I practiced was to create a LAN-to-LAN VPN between two Pfsense firewalls, by using IPSEC protocols.
I succeeded, with both firewalls in the same network. But I'm wondering if it's possible to do the same thing, with 2 Pfsense firewalls...
