I'm looking for a simple way of telling (inside a stored procedure) if I'm
currently using MSDE or a full SQL server. Ideally, there is some
pre-defined environment variable that won't cause me too much overhead. The
reason I'm doing this is because my system "rolls over" databases when it
reaches the 2Gb limit with MSDE, but obviously I want to avoid this overhead
if the user installs onto a full SQL server instance.
Thanks

Hello,everyone.
I'm setting a db2 replication environment using UDB version 8.1.5
running on Windows 2000 servers. The source server is on a Windows
server with the capture program running while the target server is on
another Windows server running the apply program. This replication set
up has a mix of bidirectional and unidirection data exchange. User
copy is used for the unidirectional data. I'm having the following
issue.

Regarding a new replication process using two Windows 2000 servers at
5.00.2195, one machine with SP4 and the other SP3, and both running WSE
8.1.5., I am requesting assistance. My dilemma--It appears that my
replication scenario is running without any errors, BUT it is not
copying changes and new records from the source database to the target
database tables.
1) The .trc file shows no error.
2) The Capture log file shows:

I have a problem when using Replication Center on version 8.2 (fixpack 9)
when I try to manage my SQL Replication environment. When I add existing
Apply Control Servers I am not able to see existing subscription sets on
that Apply Server. The apply program works fine however and data are
replicated from the source without problems. My 'problem' is that I cannot
see old subscription sets from within the Replication Center. If I define a

Hi folks,
I'm totally not familiar with DB2 databases, but for a project at work
I need to synchronize a MS SQL database with a DB2 database. The MS SQL
server is (offcourse) on a Windows 2003 server, while the DB2 database
is on a non-windows environment.
Now I wonder what is the best way to accomplish
synchronisation/replication? Is there a built-in tool to do this, will
I need third party software, or will I need to write my own

Hi,
Our SQL Replication is between DB2 databases on Windows servers.
I'm searching for the document which tells me how to migrate our SQL
Replication environment from V8 to V9 (we also need to migrate from V7
to V8 but that's fully described so that's no problem).
The PDF 'Migrating to Replication Version 9' doesn't contain a
description about migrating SQL Replication, only Q replication. I found
some links to PDF manuals which should...

We currently have SQL Server 2000 and have merge replication. We have the following process
1. Data is transfered to a laptop, data on the laptop is changed and the data on the server is 'locked'
no changes can be made.
2. After a few days, the laptop is returned to the office.
3. A script is ran to delete the data on the publisher. Replication works,
the subscriber side is updated with the change (no data in the tables).

Most computers default to English, but sometimes we require a different language, especially when relocating. Forgot to request a specific language before your computer shipped? No problem! You can effortlessly switch the default language on Windows 10 without reinstalling. I'll walk you through it.
First, let's disable language synchronization. With a Microsoft account, language settings sync across devices. To prevent any complications,...

Hello folks,
I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>".
The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed.
This is as boiled down as I can make it.
Here is my compilation command:
g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp
Here is the code in...

Overview:
Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...

Hello
I'm a network technician in training and I need your help.
I am currently learning how to create and manage the different types of VPNs and I have a question about LAN-to-LAN VPNs.
The last exercise I practiced was to create a LAN-to-LAN VPN between two Pfsense firewalls, by using IPSEC protocols.
I succeeded, with both firewalls in the same network. But I'm wondering if it's possible to do the same thing, with 2 Pfsense firewalls...
