Admin API reference for 8.2

This is probably an easy question but...

When working with DB2 7.2 IBM had a manual/book (pdf) called the Admin
API reference. This excellent volume covered basically all the Command
Reference tools for c programmers to integrate with.

I have scoured the 8.2 documentation web site for a similiar volume but
I see none.

Can anyone give me some insight on the existance and availability of
this book? Is it merged in with another volume?

Regards,
Jeff

Check the URL http://tinyurl.com/dyk6r, the administration section. You
can download both 8.1 and 8.2 versions of the Administrative API
Reference.

You know, while working on my moonlight corporation's LAMP project at home this weekend, I couldn't help but wonder if people writing similar projects are solving similar problems with having to complete the project by building an installer and building the user/group administration piece of it. The thought came to me that it would be great if LAMP developers, whether they used MySQL or PostgreSQL, could just simply write the project to...

I've cross-posted this in the COM+ group as well - apologies if that's a no-no. But the problem might be caused by either... interop or just plain COMAdmin. ============================================= I've got a VB.NET app that is trying to access the Component Services catalog. The first class method installs a new component at a specified location. The second method searches for a specified component and deletes it.

Hi there, I just distributed an application in which I (try to) change db.properties depending on CurrentUser() For instance I set the property's AllowBypassKey and AllowBuiltinToolbars to False when CurrentUser() <> "xx" I just noticed that the property's can only be changed changed by a user belonging to 'Admins'. I never noticed this before. I could swear that in other apps (A97) this works fine without the user being an admin... ...

Hi group, I am getting the "could not load type" error and I'm not sure how to debug. Obviously it's a namespace error but I don't see it. Below are code snippets. Yes, the files sit in a subdirectory called "admin". The webpages in the root directory, "psyche" do not have any errors. So it's something with the name admin? But what? Yes, all of the webpages in the admin directory have the same error with their respective webpages in the...

Hi, I am new in the forum and new in .Net. I've tried to search for answers on web to no avail. Can anybody help me with this problem? Is it possible to install a console app, that also has a reference to a class library, to a remote server where I don't have admin rights to? This is basically what I did. 1. Run sn.exe and add strong names each for both console app and class library projects

Hello folks, I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>". The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed. This is as boiled down as I can make it. Here is my compilation command: g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp Here is the code in...

Overview: Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...

Let's talk about the concept of autonomous AI software engineers and no-code agents. These AIs are designed to manage the entire lifecycle of a software development project—planning, coding, testing, and deployment—without human intervention. Imagine an AI that can take a project description, break it down, write the code, debug it, and then launch it, all on its own.... Now, this would greatly impact the work of software developers. The idea...
