Hi ,
I am looking for meta-information about the return recordset of a
stored-procedure. The procedure returns a resultset that contains columns of
more tables joined together. In all tables, I use, there is a
Record-Creation-Timestamp-Attribute. When joining two or more tables these
attribute-names appear in ther resultset but
i found no way to distinguish them.

I have an SP that is big, huge, 700-800 lines.
I am not an expert but I need to figure out every possible way that
I can improve the performance speed of this SP.
In the next couple of weeks I will work on preparing SQL statements
that will create the tables, insert sample record and run the SP.
I would hope people will look at my SP and give me any hints on how
I can better write the SP.

I have the following stored procedure below and I was wondering if I will be
able to bind the restuls to a datagrid for the first select statement and
display the results of the count in a label for the count. I wasn't sure if i
should have written two stored procedures to do this or if I'll be able to do

Hello to All,
I'm trying to retrieve records from AS/400 in an VBA application.
So, I've made an RPG program, then a stored procedure wchich calls that RPG
program, and finally some VBA code to call the stored procedure and retrieve
data from AS/400.
The problem is, that when I finally run my VB code, it just hangs.
But when I call the same stored procedure from "pure" SQL - it works
perfect. (I evaluate Aqua Data Studio 3.7)

I'm using an ObjectDataSource with a stored procedure and am getting the
following error when trying to update (ExecuteNonQuery):
System.Data.SqlClient.SqlException: Procedure or Function 'UpdateRegistrant'
expects parameter '@EMail', which was not supplied.
The field value was null in the database and not changed in the FormView so
is null going back into the stored procedure. I'm stumped and would greatly
appreciate any suggestions.
