Certification question

Hi,

I'm preparing to take the 700 test...I've studied hard and am almost ready.
I have one question: Are there any discount vouchers available for this
test? I haven't been able to find any at the normal sources. I certainly
wouldn't be averse to saving a few euro wherever I can.

Thanks,
Mike

Most DB2 Technical Conferences offer the tests for free to participants. Of
course, the conferences cost a fortune.

Which, unfortunately, is one fortune fewer than I have :-/

I was looking for an MS NG where I could post this question but couldn't find any, so here goes. What's more valuable to companies, a Master of Comp. Engineering degree or a company certification (Oracle, MS, etc..) ? I'm a Computer Engineering graduate student (w/ a BS in Computer Science) and I was looking for salary information and where the hot jobs are, and with every search I execute, I kept getting pages on how MS certifications...

Hi, I'm about to embark on .NET/C# certification (after 6 weeks intensive training). I'm actually heading off to India as it's cheaper....sign of the times. The goal is to compliment my existing c++/java skills and to enhance my employability (I contract in finance at the moment...I have work but am planning for the future). As of now I have zero experience in C#/.NET (I've done some J2EE work in the past but that's about it:( ).

I am studying for the Oracle Certification program, OCA, and I am taking the Z-007 exam, however, I am having quite a time with it. I have tried and failed 5 times to pass that exam. I have only used guides like TestKing, or college courses I have taken to study for that exam. I have not gone to Oracle University, or taken classes like that, to prepare for certification exam. My question. What are the best ways, and best bargains, to step...

I've got 20+ years experience, and lots of it over the last few years in .NET. I do not yet have a certification of any kind, and it's about time I did something about that. My focus is primarily Web development in ASP.NET, but I also do plenty of Windows development. What I'm looking for is the books that you folks have found the most helpful and most accurate in helping you prep for your .NET MCSD certification, or which are most...

Hi, I have been working on C++ for some time now, and I think I have a flair for design (which just might be only my imagination over- stretched.. :) ). So, I tried to find a design certification, possibly that involves C++, but, if not, C++ and UML. All I could find was Java + UML design certifications (one such is detailed on http://www.objectsbydesign.com/tools/certification.html). Although UML is expected to be language independent,...

Am I correct in assuming that it is NOT normal practice to repeat all the certification exams for the new DB2 version when a new DB2 version comes out? Let's say I took exams 700 and 701 and passed, which give me Associate and DBA certifications for Version 8 of DB2. I seem to recall seeing a special certification exam for each version of DB2 that was called, in effect, "What's New in the This Version of DB2". (I can't recall the exact...

Hello folks, I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>". The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed. This is as boiled down as I can make it. Here is my compilation command: g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp Here is the code in...

Overview: Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...

Hello I'm a network technician in training and I need your help. I am currently learning how to create and manage the different types of VPNs and I have a question about LAN-to-LAN VPNs. The last exercise I practiced was to create a LAN-to-LAN VPN between two Pfsense firewalls, by using IPSEC protocols. I succeeded, with both firewalls in the same network. But I'm wondering if it's possible to do the same thing, with 2 Pfsense firewalls...
