I'm trying to use a servlet to process a form, then send that data to
an SQL server stored procedure. I'm using the WebLogic 8 App. server.
I am able to retrieve database information, so I know my application
server can talk to the database.
I've determined the failure occurs when the the following statement is
executed: cstmt.execute(); (due to the failure of println statements
placed afterwards). I get the following error after trying to...

Hi all,
Can someone help me out? I've been struggling with this for almost a
week and still have no clue what's wrong.
Basically I want to write a DB2 stored procedure for OS/390 in REXX.
In this procedure it reads a dataset and return the first line of the
dataset. I met two problems:

Folks,
I have DB2 UDB 7.2 EE installed on AIX 5.2 system. I think I am at
latest fixpack, see output of lslpp below. I have also installed DB2
UDB 7.2 EE on RedHat Linux 7.3 I believe that is also at the latest
fix pack, see rpm output below.
The database is on AIX system and on the Linux system it is cataloged
as remote database.

I'm having a problem invoking DB2 Stored Procedures from REXX. I've
written a generic SP tester where you enter the schema and name of the
SP. The next panel displays the parms for the SP and allows you to
fill in the ones you need to and then invokes the SP.
I'm having two problems in particular that relate to specifying parms
for the SP call.
(1) I can't make it work at all for a VARCHAR parm. Everytime there is
a VARCHAR parm,...

On Linux or Solaris with UDB 8.2.2, can an SQL/PL stored-procedure
use two-phase-commit with nicknames and if DB2 provides the
Transaction-manager?
i.e. in the same transaction, can an SQL/PL procedure
update a local table and
also update a nicknamed-table (in another database
on the same hostname), before committing ?
Is this possible, or must I have a CLI procedure and not use nicknames?

I'm interested in using an off-the-shelf interpreted language as a
user-accessible scripting language for a MUCK. I'm just not sure if I
can find one that does everything I need. The MUCK must be able to
call the interpreter and execute scripts with it, but the interpreter
must also be able to call functions in the MUCK code. And then there's
the security issue that really worries me. . . I have to be able to
limit what the interpreter...

Right now we have DB2 on Z/OS, collecting information on putting DB2 on
Linux zseries. So that our company can save money on Z/OS cpu cycles(or
MIPS).
On our mainframe we have OMEGAMON,CICS,RACF,TSO and PLATINUM tools are
accessing DB2 database. If we do migrate to DB2UDB on LINUX zseries,
then how does the above tools can communicate to newer DB2UDB. Do we
need any product like DB2 Connect ? was this do able ? any known
problems ? I am...

Most computers default to English, but sometimes we require a different language, especially when relocating. Forgot to request a specific language before your computer shipped? No problem! You can effortlessly switch the default language on Windows 10 without reinstalling. I'll walk you through it.
First, let's disable language synchronization. With a Microsoft account, language settings sync across devices. To prevent any complications,...

Hello folks,
I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>".
The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed.
This is as boiled down as I can make it.
Here is my compilation command:
g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp
Here is the code in...

Overview:
Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...

Dear forum friends,
With the development of smart home technology, a variety of wireless communication protocols have appeared on the market, such as Zigbee, Z-Wave, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, etc. Each protocol has its own unique characteristics and advantages, but as a user who is planning to build a smart home system, I am a bit confused by the choice of these technologies. I'm particularly interested in Zigbee because I've heard it does some...

Hello
I'm a network technician in training and I need your help.
I am currently learning how to create and manage the different types of VPNs and I have a question about LAN-to-LAN VPNs.
The last exercise I practiced was to create a LAN-to-LAN VPN between two Pfsense firewalls, by using IPSEC protocols.
I succeeded, with both firewalls in the same network. But I'm wondering if it's possible to do the same thing, with 2 Pfsense firewalls...
