Replication Cold Start

I have to do a full refresh with starting capture with mode = cold.
After that capture is up and running, but:

2005-05-23-09.41.41.613431 <CWorkerMain> ASN0109I CAPTURE "ASN". The
Capture pr
ogram has successfully initialized and is capturing data changes for "0"
registr
ations. "0" registrations are in a stopped state. "2" registrations are in
an in
active state.

Nothing found in the doc's to activate the state for the registration.

best regards,

If I got you right, you did a manual full refresh and you now need to
reinit the capture. There is a pretty nice Technote about manual full
refresh. You can find it on http://www.ibm.com/support by searching for
"manual full refresh".

Title:
" How do I perform a manual full refresh for update-anywhere replication
instead of using the Apply program to do the full refresh?" , last

This works for usercopy-scenario as well.

Norbert

Hi, For some magical reason, my database replication has suddenly stopped working. I modified the publication but the Distribution agent will not run; the snapshot does not get applied to the subscriber, and changes made at the publisher do not get replicated. My configuration is: Transactional Replication with a 'Pull' Subscription. The Subscriber is Updateable with Immediate Updates

I have a problem when using Replication Center on version 8.2 (fixpack 9) when I try to manage my SQL Replication environment. When I add existing Apply Control Servers I am not able to see existing subscription sets on that Apply Server. The apply program works fine however and data are replicated from the source without problems. My 'problem' is that I cannot see old subscription sets from within the Replication Center. If I define a new...

I am working on a DB2 replication program that used to work. I ran the "warm" capture program to get a cold start and I am running the apply program, but, the apply does not replicate the data. I update a test table and I see that the CD table gets new rows. But the apply program does not seem to be doing anything .. I see the asnapply is running, but not doing anything: 2005-07-31-02:18:03 ASN1045I: The Apply program was started using...

Using replication under 8.2 on AIX 5.3. Having mixed success getting what I want done. Scenario: Two database servers configured with identically named tables/columns. Currently both contain mutually exclusive sets of data. Goal 1: Copy all rows from server A to server B such that B will now be a superset of A. Goal 2: Replicate all future changes on A to B so that B will continue

A cold start of my application takes about 15 seconds. Further startup takes only 1 seconds. After a reboot other cold start takes less than 15 seconds, perhaps 3~4s. I tried to improve cold start by NGEN everything in the installer. Now I don't know if I make an error or something in the installer but my first cold start time didn't improve (after I tested it). Any ideas on what I could do to improve my 1st cold start?

Can I get the master (or slaves) to automatically remove the binary logs once they are processed by all slaves? It says in the mysql manual : If you are using replication, you should not delete old binary log files until you are sure that no slave still needs to use them. For example, if your slaves never run more than three days behind, once a day you can execute mysqladmin flush-logs on the master and then remove any logs that are...

Hello folks, I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>". The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed. This is as boiled down as I can make it. Here is my compilation command: g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp Here is the code in...

Overview: Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...
