Is the DB2 Command Center = the Control Center?

Thank you

(1) Start the Control Center and click on the 4th button right under the
menu bar. It depicts a small window with a "C:>" inside.

(2) Start "db2ce" from a shell.

(3) On Windows, go through Start -> Programs -> IBM DB2 -> Command Line
Tools -> Command Editor

Command center and Control Center are cross-linked. You can start one
from the other. On Windows I start them both from the menu.
In general check out the files named: db2* in sqllib/bin.
e.g. db2cc is the control center.

Cheers

I'm using command center to view my data. When I enter a query on the interactive tab, once executed it takes me to the results tab but doesn't display anything. If I enter the same query in the CLP, everything works fine. For some reason, my results tab seems to not be working properly. Any idea? I'm running version 8.1.4.

Hi, we installed db2 v8.1 on red hat linux 9. Unfortunately, the backspace and the delete button doesn't work in the right way. Instead of deleting chars, control characters are inputed. That makes it very hard to input sql commands at the db2 command line prompt. For example: DB2> connect to aDatabase^?^?^?^?^[[3~^[[3~^[[3~ Is there the possibility to set an option / parameter anywhere? Thanks, Toralf

Why can we not give db2 System commands (commands starting with 'db2' like db2ilist, db2look, db2move etc.) through the Command Center? It is so convenient to retrieve and change commands in the Command center but this facility does not seem to exist for System commands. Seems command Window and CLP are the only places where we can interactively issue these commands..darn it!!! Regards, Raquel.

Hello, I was trying to load a comma-separated text file to a DB2 table. I believe I have the syntax rigt for the LOAD command. My first question is, how do you actually run it? It is not a SQL command; so it doesn't run from the command center/SQL window. It looks like a utility tool but I didn't find a load.exe or db2load.exe file in the installation directory.

Hello folks, I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>". The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed. This is as boiled down as I can make it. Here is my compilation command: g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp Here is the code in...

Overview: Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...
