How to change Tasks from using local id to domain id?

Have two machines with Win 2K 5.00.2195 (Machine 'A' has SP4, Machine
'B' has SP3) and both have DB2 UDB v8.1 FP4 all loaded fresh (not an
upgrade). Machine 'A' gives the error 'Logon failure: unknown user
name or bad password.' when executing a copy command to send a file to
a network printer or when trying to delete file(s)located on another
machine also on the network with the del command. Machine 'B'
executes both commands without a hitch. On machine 'A', a local ID
and a domain ID are listed in Local Users and Groups --> Groups -->
Administrators. Machine 'B' has only domain\ID in the Administrators
group. I would like to remove the local ID and have only the domain\ID
on machine 'A', but there are many DB2 task (scheduled) jobs that fail
to run when the local ID is not among in the Administrators list.
Machine 'B' successfully manages many DB2 jobs with the domain\ID user
id. Questions: 1) What is causing the logon failure error on
machine 'A'? And, how can I resolve it? 2) I do not want to use a
local ID on machine 'A', so how can I substitute the domain\ID for the
local ID without reloading any software and continue to run all my
jobs? Suggestions will be most appreciated! Thank you.

A question on html-forms: We have an application where users will get a CD with, among other things, some html-forms for them to fill in. When they click the submit-button, the data is transferred to a webserver php-script that will then process the info. The forms-definition looks something like this: <form action="http://www.ourdomain.com/receiver.php" method="post"> <p>Question 1:

I am using the WebBrowser control (Explorer.Shell.2) from within a VBA application, embedded on an MS Access form to display the contents of a local folder. By default on Windows 2000/XP the control displays the "Common Tasks" section on the left-hand side of the display - I assume it just shows/hides this based upon the Windows user's settings. Is there any way to change this to "Classic View", ie to remove the left-side "Common Tasks"...

I need to access the scheduler service on a network computer in order to manipulate it remotely from .NET; I have all of the necessary code to perform the manipulation and it works - great - but I am having problems with authentication. Hello, The below C# code works fine in obtaining the windows user's account SID when the user is local to the machine. It throws a "Not Found" exception when trying top obtain the SID for a user who is on a domain, but logged in locally. Specifically, for a corporate domain - the user logs into the local desktop and has a local profile - not a roaming profile. The below code is implemented in an NT service for the purpose of

I am working on an application where a web service (on the web tier) calls another web/gateway service (on the app tier). This then needs to save a file to a UNC share on a file server in our internal network. The issue that I'm having is that as our app tier is not on a domain, I am unable to impersonate a domain account to access the share. I am able to map a network drive to the share from the app tier by connecting as a domain...

Most computers default to English, but sometimes we require a different language, especially when relocating. Forgot to request a specific language before your computer shipped? No problem! You can effortlessly switch the default language on Windows 10 without reinstalling. I'll walk you through it. First, let's disable language synchronization. With a Microsoft account, language settings sync across devices. To prevent any complications,...

Hello folks, I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>". The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed. This is as boiled down as I can make it. Here is my compilation command: g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp Here is the code in...

Overview: Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...

Let's talk about the concept of autonomous AI software engineers and no-code agents. These AIs are designed to manage the entire lifecycle of a software development project—planning, coding, testing, and deployment—without human intervention. Imagine an AI that can take a project description, break it down, write the code, debug it, and then launch it, all on its own.... Now, this would greatly impact the work of software developers. The idea...
