You can have two installations of the same version at different
fixlevels if you are in Version 8

That is DB2 UDB ESE only. The subject says "DB2 Connect", which is not
supported for that scenario.
Thanks,

Two different versions, yes. Two different fixlevels (or releases) of
the same version, no (except ESE).
When talking about these terms, it's best to ensure we're talking the
same thing. For IBM, when you see a version such as "8.1.0.16" (which
is v8 FP2 on unix), the "8" is the version, "1" is the release, "0" is
the modification, and "16" is the fixlevel. Thus, the abbreviation is
VRMF.
So, when I say you can have two different *versions* of DB2 installed
at the same time, I'm referring to the first number. v8 FP1 and v8 FP2
are the same version, and thus cannot coexist. v8 FP1 and v7 FP8 are
different versions, and thus can coexist on unix and Linux.
DB2 you can?
DB2 UDB ESE only, you can. DB2 UDB Workgroup editions, no. DB2
Connect, no. Only DB2 UDB ESE.
DB2 Connect: different versions are supported on Linux and UNIX.
different fixpak levels on the same version are only supported if you
install DB2 Enterprise Server Edition, which includes Connect
Application Requestor support
DB2 Enterprise Server Edition: yes, on UNIX and Linux

Darin,
Thank you so much for the clarification. Our groups DB2 Connect
support has recently been dropped in my lap..... and I have very
LIMITED knowledge of this product (fun!).

Hi All,
I've installed MySQL 4.1.12 on my server, I can connect from the local
machine with navicat, but
not from a remote machine. I checked with 'nedstat' and there is something
listening on port 3306.
I have tried several users and settings. What i want is to set a user name
(:support) and that this user
can connect remotely with navicat to the mysql server.

- repair python 2.4.2

After reading and experiencing the phenomenon of installing MS Office
2000 on a system that already has MS Office 97, or for that matter
just Access 97 Runtime, I saw the ugliness that ensues. If one elects
the standard installation, then Office 2000 deletes a large percentage
of the older files. Of course, if one happens to choose Custom
installation and elects not to uninstall prior versions, then things
are happier. Yes, the archives...

Hi,
I'm facing the problem of analyzing a memory allocation dynamic and
object creation dynamics of a very big C++ application with a goal of
optimizing its performance and eventually also identifying memory
leaks. The application in question is the Mozilla Web Browser. I also
have had similar tasks before in the compiler construction area. And
it is easy to come up with many more examples, where such kind of
statistics can be very...

Hi,
I have a test server with Windows 2003 Standard Server. SQL Server 2000
Standard Edition was installed earlier as default instance. My ASP.Net web
site works fine with the connection string
"Server=localhost;UID=sa;PWD=sa;Database=dbSales"
under such circumstance.
Then I installed SQL Server 2005 Standard Edition on the very same machine
with a instance name "sql2005" and "sa2005" as password to "sa" account.

Hi,
I am accessing a web-database via a secure tunnel on machine A in my
LAN. I have an odbc driver installed on machine A and it works fine.
Now I want to access the database with an MS Access Client from machine
B in the same LAN. But machine B does not have a tunnel.
Can I connect somehow to the odbc driver on machine A from machine B?

Hello folks,
I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>".
The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed.
This is as boiled down as I can make it.
Here is my compilation command:
g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp
Here is the code in...

Overview:
Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...

Dear forum friends,
With the development of smart home technology, a variety of wireless communication protocols have appeared on the market, such as Zigbee, Z-Wave, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, etc. Each protocol has its own unique characteristics and advantages, but as a user who is planning to build a smart home system, I am a bit confused by the choice of these technologies. I'm particularly interested in Zigbee because I've heard it does some...

Let's talk about the concept of autonomous AI software engineers and no-code agents. These AIs are designed to manage the entire lifecycle of a software development project—planning, coding, testing, and deployment—without human intervention. Imagine an AI that can take a project description, break it down, write the code, debug it, and then launch it, all on its own....
Now, this would greatly impact the work of software developers. The idea...

Hello
I'm a network technician in training and I need your help.
I am currently learning how to create and manage the different types of VPNs and I have a question about LAN-to-LAN VPNs.
The last exercise I practiced was to create a LAN-to-LAN VPN between two Pfsense firewalls, by using IPSEC protocols.
I succeeded, with both firewalls in the same network. But I'm wondering if it's possible to do the same thing, with 2 Pfsense firewalls...
