ODBC driver for DB2 and AS/400

Hi all,

Which is the best driver for accessing to DB2 (in ab AS/400) from a win2k
via ODBC? is there known problems so far? I mean, memory management bugs,
access degradation, etc.

Thanks,
Carles

StarSQL is a pretty good one. Haven't tested all drivers, though!

The one included with the system - the iSeries Access for Windows ODBC driver is

Do you know of problems using this one?

No - you should make sure that you have the latest Fixpack installed on your
client and the latest Database Group PTF installed on the server.

Hi: I am developing an application using FoxPro 2.x tables. My client has AccessXP. AccessXP uses Visual Foxpro ODBC to connect to tables. It does not accept the ISAM Foxpro driver used in A97. I have a problem that when I link to the tables on the client machine AccessXP does not recognize boolean values in the FoxPro tables. I assume this is due to the ODBC driver. I'd like to test this out on my development machine. I...

Hi all, I am having trouble getting linked Oracle 9 server in MS SQL Server 2005 Express to work properly. My machine is running Windows XP. The Microsoft and Oracle OLE DB Providers have problems dealing with Oracle's Numeric Data Type, so I decided to use Microsoft's OLE DB for ODBC Provider and an Oracle ODBC source. When using the Microsoft ODBC for Oracle Driver in my ODBC source I have inconsistent behavior. Sometimes my queries...

I am trying to figure out how to query some data out of a dbase IV (.dbf) file sitting on a remote server from my MySQL/PHP/Web Server. Both servers are Windows Server 2003 SP2. My MySQL/PHP/Web server is running PHP 4.3.11, MySQL 4.0.24, and IIS. I have set a system DSN on the remote machine for the directory that contains the dbase file. The DSN name is SASIxp, and the actual file I'm trying to connect to is ADST.DBF.

Overview: Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...
