Replication and structured type

Hi to all,

Is it possible to use replication with tables which contain structured
type ?
I know that it’s impossible to use import/export fonctions with
strutured type but I don’t know about replication.

Thanks for yours answers

There is no native support as Serge mentioned, but there is a work-around
described here:

http://www-106.ibm.com/developerwork...lze/index.html

The article talks about spatial data. Given that those data types are
simply structured types, you should be able to make the necessary
adaptations without any problems.

We have a performance problem to replicate our environnement. Our java code is able to insert 100 000 rows in a table within 3 seconds using Batch Statement. For two oracle sites it takes 6 seconds the inserts. When we enable oracle's advanced replication the time falls to 44 seconds for the two replicated sites. So the transactions took 7 times more time. It is normal Oracle states that Adv replication takes around 6 times more resource...

I have a TSQL script to add daily tables to replication and then run the snapshot agent to distribute them to two subscribers. The script executes without errors, but when I check the running jobs for each server I see the following: JUST AN EXAMPLE Job1 'Category' REPL-Snapshot Job2 'Category' REPL-Distribution What is the difference between these two categories? Also 'Job1' works

Hi, Anyone can give me a link which shows how to setup DB2 (v8) replication step by step? Thanks. As a non-DB2 person, I find out IBM DB2 doc is not very helpful at all, espeically compare with Oracle docs. Regards,

Hi, Has anyone encountered infinite looping in Q Replication? This happens when I have a source DB2 table A going to a target DB2 table B, it also happens that the samne target table B is replicated back to source table A (true bi-directional replication scenario). Once I start replication on a master to master scenario the changes in A gets replicated to B but that change gets replicated back to A and so on creating an infinite loop. Is...

I have a database that needs to be replicated over the Internet. I was hoping it would be a simple task, but apparently it is not. I've started browsing the msdn article on the topic. In the meantime, I am wondering who might be able to host a server on the Internet that meets such requirements. If anybody has had any experience with this, and/or if you can recommend a host who meets said requirements, I'd appreciate it if you'd post. ...

Hi, I just see that Mysql will propose at the end of the month a full synchronous replication system with auto-recovery. http://www.mysql.com/products/cluster/ We need to see when stable version would be released..... I use PostgreSQL and I would appreciate to have the same features in PostgreSQL.

I have never used replication before and I have been asked to consider it in a project I am currently working on. I have created an application for a sales team which is loaded on their machines, it uses ms sql as its data source and connects via the internet back to the central server in the office. Problem is this has shown to be too slow causing time out error messages and so on. I have been told to research the possibility of...

Most computers default to English, but sometimes we require a different language, especially when relocating. Forgot to request a specific language before your computer shipped? No problem! You can effortlessly switch the default language on Windows 10 without reinstalling. I'll walk you through it. First, let's disable language synchronization. With a Microsoft account, language settings sync across devices. To prevent any complications,...

Overview: Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...

Let's talk about the concept of autonomous AI software engineers and no-code agents. These AIs are designed to manage the entire lifecycle of a software development project—planning, coding, testing, and deployment—without human intervention. Imagine an AI that can take a project description, break it down, write the code, debug it, and then launch it, all on its own.... Now, this would greatly impact the work of software developers. The idea...

Hello I'm a network technician in training and I need your help. I am currently learning how to create and manage the different types of VPNs and I have a question about LAN-to-LAN VPNs. The last exercise I practiced was to create a LAN-to-LAN VPN between two Pfsense firewalls, by using IPSEC protocols. I succeeded, with both firewalls in the same network. But I'm wondering if it's possible to do the same thing, with 2 Pfsense firewalls...
