I have a two tables, Users and Requests, the latter which displays the daily
log on's of 20 users. Both tables are related by a one-to-many relationship
in the Requests table via the UserId field.
I want to run a query that when I enter a date shows all the users that DID
NOT connect for that particular day. For example, say user id's 1 and 2
were on the system on a particular day but user id's 3 - 20 were not, how
do I display just...

Is there any way to forcibly disconnect all users from a
database, or else force the drop of the database even
though others are still connected?
I have a report I run where I first drop the old report db
then create it anew, read in a recent dump file and then
run a bunch of queries to build up the reports.
Every once in a while my automated script fails because

I am currently using the BACKUP DATABASE method to backup my database.
Everything works fine, except for users. I created various users with
sp_addlogin to access this database and they are located in the xlogins
table. The problem is for example, if I backup, remove some users and
do a restore, i won't have them back because i just backup the
database.
So the question is, how can I backup specific users and restore them ?
Do I have to...

If i do "db2 disconnect all" after an application finishes, does it
mean that any application that connects after this will find the buffer
pool "cold"? Or the pages accessed by last application will be still in
buffer pool? Apparently when I do "db2 disconnect all" at the end, the
windows task manager shows that all bufferpool memory has been deallocated.
thanks

We have a existing backup, re-index job that runs at night on an
existing database that is now accessed by web users 24/7.
Problem is that one of the steps is to kill all users before backup
starts so it kills any transactions that are happening at that time
question is... Can users be connected during a backup? Will removing
the kill users step slow the backup alot?
any other suggestions would be appreciated.
thanks

Hi,
How would I go about "forcing" a user from one page to another?
I have a very simple random question/answer entrance requirement for an
e-mail form. After 3 page views most people are going to have
successfully submitted their e-mail (enter/validate as human, enter
message, send the message). If someone or something decides to start
banging on any of the pages and increses the views count too far I want
to kick them out to an...

Currently I have a button that allows the user to "Close Company" - at
the moment it doesn't do anything :D I would like the button to
"disconnect" the back end then show my Open Company form.
My question is:
1. Short of closing the application or deleting the linked tables, is
there a way to disconnect the user's front end from the common back
end using VBA?
2. Does disconnecting the user serve any purpose? I've read a lot of
posts...

Most computers default to English, but sometimes we require a different language, especially when relocating. Forgot to request a specific language before your computer shipped? No problem! You can effortlessly switch the default language on Windows 10 without reinstalling. I'll walk you through it.
First, let's disable language synchronization. With a Microsoft account, language settings sync across devices. To prevent any complications,...

Hello folks,
I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>".
The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed.
This is as boiled down as I can make it.
Here is my compilation command:
g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp
Here is the code in...

Hello
I'm a network technician in training and I need your help.
I am currently learning how to create and manage the different types of VPNs and I have a question about LAN-to-LAN VPNs.
The last exercise I practiced was to create a LAN-to-LAN VPN between two Pfsense firewalls, by using IPSEC protocols.
I succeeded, with both firewalls in the same network. But I'm wondering if it's possible to do the same thing, with 2 Pfsense firewalls...
