How to get rid of dummy entry from System Database Directory

nek
Greetings,

We try to automate database creation via script which gets executed
remotely for a number of servers.

This works fine for most of the servers. However, it occasionally
fails some of them for certain reasons (eg. authorization,
communication down) and results in dummy entry in 'System Database
Directory' as follows:

Database alias =
Database name =
Node name = NDEC4E00
Database release level = a.00
Comment =
Directory entry type = Remote
Catalog database partition number = -1

As you see, the first 2 rows have no values assigned to them. 'list
node directory' does not show node (NDEC4E00) as seen above.

There is NO corresponding entry in 'Local database directory'.

How can I get rid of this dummy entry?

Thank you for your help.

Hi folks, I have a DropDownList in a DataGrid that is populated from records in a database. I want to add a value that might be a string such as "Select a Company" for the first item since an OnSelectedIndex event is not fired if you select the first item. Does anyone know of an easy way to do this?

I have a data entry screen using controls bound through a bindingSource, TableAdaptor and a BindingNavigator to move through the records. When I have an data entry error (such as Null for a value) I get the following error raised all the way to the App.Run command. This is not a dataGridView, so I can not use that DataError event to catch it....

As various people will have noticed, I've been having a lot of trouble with XSL lately. Brief history: I wrote myself an XML toolkit back in 2000, and it worked well enough for me, so it's been little changed since. However, it works only with an obsolete version of Saxon (6.2.2 I think), and it has a number of small bugs; and I've at last got...

Overview: Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. For...
