I'm working on my first .net project using c#. I've been using
activex controls embedded in a web page and wanted to do the same in
..net. My approach has been to create a windows control library and
then reference the dll with a web page as follows:
<html>
<body>
<center>
<object id="UserControl1" height="500" width="700"
classid="http://wiffle/WindowsControlLibrary3.dll#WindowsControlLibrary3.UserControl1">

My machine is Windows XP with Oracle 9.2 Home; IIS and Oracle
are in the same box.
I have tried both Oracle OLEDB Provider and Microsoft ODBC For Oracle,
but both not working.
For Microsoft ODBC For Oracle approach, I added a data source
in Oracle Data Source Administrator, in System DSN tab, I created
a system data source named OracleDSN with Microsoft ODBC for Oracle.

Hello,
I am getting no response when trying to connect to one of our
databases. The funny thing is that it only happens when trying to
connect using a specific user. Other users are able to connect.
For example:
this connects: CONNECT TO MYDB USER ABC
this just hangs (no response): CONNECT TO MYDB USER XYZ

Hello,
I'm developing a C# - windows forms application. To get some information
for my application, I'm connecting to an URL, wich gives me XML
generated using php.
With 90% of the users, this code just works fine:
WebRequest request = WebRequest.Create(URL);

I have a working web application (ASP) which links to an Oracle 10g DB via
OO4O. I'm trying to port it to either of two test servers, but in fact, I
can't get it to work with either - 'Unable to make connection, ORA-12154:
TNS:could not resolve the connect identifier specified'. This error occurs
in the applications global.asa file where I'm trying to set up a connection
pool:
<object runat="Server" scope="Application" id="oSession"...

Scenario:
I've a WebFarm with 2 web servers which are NLBs (network load balanced).
Web1 and Web2; they are not part of a domain.
I have a third server, Server3, which is part of a domain and on the same physical network, and it has an MSAccess database which is used on the external webfarm as well as on the internal intranet. I can connect via the intranet because the DB file is on the same box from which the intranet is being served...

Overview:
Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...

Dear forum friends,
With the development of smart home technology, a variety of wireless communication protocols have appeared on the market, such as Zigbee, Z-Wave, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, etc. Each protocol has its own unique characteristics and advantages, but as a user who is planning to build a smart home system, I am a bit confused by the choice of these technologies. Hello
I'm a network technician in training and I need your help.
I am currently learning how to create and manage the different types of VPNs and I have a question about LAN-to-LAN VPNs.
The last exercise I practiced was to create a LAN-to-LAN VPN between two Pfsense firewalls, by using IPSEC protocols.
I succeeded, with both firewalls in the same network. But I'm wondering if it's possible to do the same thing, with 2 Pfsense firewalls...
