Hi Guys Can anyone help I am trying to find a way to implement a running balance that will re-calculate if the date order is changed, or if an earlier record is changed like you might want to do during a bank statement reconcile. I am using the following fields Date|Payment|Deposit|Running_Balance (tblTransactions)

Hello everyone. I am somewhat new to access and this forum. Hopefully it will be a great and helpful experience. My problem is this. I have a database (about 65,000 records). I get a run from another party every month in a text format (notepad) which I import into my database and make a comparison between the previous months and current months tables (some fields) by running a query. What I am trying to do is create a nice form that will ...

I'm trying to convert a query that runs in Query Analyser (SQL Server 2000) to work in MS Access. This will then help me modify the query further and use it to create reports and such. This query is not something I'm used to seeing in SQL, but the function is to automatically establish what month we are in and how many days there are supposed to be in this month. Then divide the total accumulated values (which are provided in a table) and...

I'm trying to create a running totals query in access 97. I have followed the directions on how to do it from Microsofts website article id 138911. I took their code they had and replaced it with my fields. When I try to run it I get #errors in my RunTot column. I'm kinda new to this. Not sure if maybe I mistyped something wrong or is there a better way to do this? I have pasted the code. Any help would be greatly appreciated....

I need to calculate running balance on data containing Null, which is sorted by few columns. As example below, Clr is sorted by Null Desc, then by date, then just by ID. So far, I just come out with this... SELECT tr1.Clr, tr1.ID, tr1.Date, tr1.Acc, tr1.Dbt, tr1.Cdt, (SELECT SUM(Nz(tr2.Dbt) - Nz(tr2.Cdt)) FROM tbl00 AS tr2 WHERE (tr2.Acc = tr1.Acc AND tr2.Clr <= tr1.Clr)) AS Bal FROM tbl00 AS tr1 WHERE (((tr1.Acc)=12345) AND...

I have a table that is basically a ledger for a bank account. I have a query that adds in a column for balance, & computes the balance as a running total. Here is the Field: RunningBal: Format(DSum(".","tblEmergency_Acct","<= " & tblEmergency_Acct.Transaction_ID_ER),"Currency") It works fine. I have a form for users to input new ledger entries. I want to display the ending balance on that form - I believe I have to use a sub-form for...

Hello, I am building a database to help me figure out what my costs are on each job. Part of those costs are labor (payroll) and I am paying the employees for each piece they complete, aka piecework. In order to comply with the labor law standards, I am paying employees minimum wage @ $8.00/hr. While they are working on the piece, I pay the employee by the hour @ $8 and deduct the amount I pull from their total piece price. When they...

Hello folks, I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>". The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed. This is as boiled down as I can make it. Here is my compilation command: g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp Here is the code in...

Overview: Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...

Hello I'm a network technician in training and I need your help. I am currently learning how to create and manage the different types of VPNs and I have a question about LAN-to-LAN VPNs. The last exercise I practiced was to create a LAN-to-LAN VPN between two Pfsense firewalls, by using IPSEC protocols. I succeeded, with both firewalls in the same network. But I'm wondering if it's possible to do the same thing, with 2 Pfsense firewalls...
