In a recent survey of 1,000 HR professionals and managers, conducted by Inavero Institute for Service Research, 72 percent of salaried employee recruiting involved online job boards.
Online job boards draw in more responses and cost a fraction of what traditional methods such as referrals and newspapers cost. For this reason you will find the most opportunities online.
To get the most out of online job boards: - Regularly check online boards to compare your current pay to what is being offered for similar skill sets and experience level.
- Keep an eye out for opportunities at specific companies and start building your network with people that work with or at those companies.
- Use 2 general job boards like Hot Jobs and Careerbuilder and then target 3 or more specific niche job sites like Dice, Tech Careers and Bytes.
- Don't forget to visit the company's own job board. You might find more opportunities there.
- If you don't have the skill sets for a particular job on paper, visit the contract and freelance site to pick up projects to help build up your resume.
Scouting the boards is good practice for evaluating your career. Knowing where the best opportunities are listed will come in handy the day you have to find another place to work.

I have designed a couple databases for my company and a database program for
a soccer club and a very basic contact manager program for a sales rep.
My question is: Is there any kind of career designing/maintaining Access

some other database program). Where can I go to research this further and
possibly take some classes for this type of thing, either online or...

Greetings,
Any recommendations on a book or online tutorial that my 15 yr old son
can use to teach himself C? At 12 he downloaded a crude level editor
for Jedi Knight called JED and taught himself how to make levels.
Awesome ones I might add. So he is bright and a self learner. What
in your opinion would be the best way for him to go? He wants to
learn using his iMac. OS 9.2.2
Thank you.

Hello folks,
I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>".
The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed.
This is as boiled down as I can make it.
Here is my compilation command:
g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp
Here is the code in...

Overview:
Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...

Dear forum friends,
With the development of smart home technology, a variety of wireless communication protocols have appeared on the market, such as Zigbee, Z-Wave, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, etc. Each protocol has its own unique characteristics and advantages, but as a user who is planning to build a smart home system, I am a bit confused by the choice of these technologies. Hello
I'm a network technician in training and I need your help.
I am currently learning how to create and manage the different types of VPNs and I have a question about LAN-to-LAN VPNs.
The last exercise I practiced was to create a LAN-to-LAN VPN between two Pfsense firewalls, by using IPSEC protocols.
I succeeded, with both firewalls in the same network. But I'm wondering if it's possible to do the same thing, with 2 Pfsense firewalls...
