Runtime error ?what is this ?why it appears after installing games

i just installed a game entitled "Tom Clancy Splinter Cell Double Agent 4" then everythig goes directly installed and also the patch of the games was also installed. Then i try to play the game then the dialog box appear showing: single player, multiplayer, credits and quits...then i choose single player, after that here goes the error. it appears like this : first a dialog box entitled "CRASH". inside the box it says ," Must check" then an OK button..so i click the OK button..and another dialog box appears ,,and now entitled MIcrosoft Visual C++ Runtime library with a statement of " Program: ...Cell Double Agent\SCDA-offline\System\Splinter Cell4.exe., under this statements it follows : this application has requested the Runtime to terminate it in an unusual way. Please contact the application's support team for more information. please help me solve this,,i wanna play the game...what shud i do,,is there lacking on my computer,,software or anything,...pls help me to solve this...thank you...

install the Microsoft Visual C++ redistributable packages from 2005 and 2008, should solve your problem normally.

Common issue when you work in techsupport. It means whatever program you are using relies on Visual C++ components but forgot to supply the DLLs for it...
