char * to TByteDynArray in Borland C++ Builder 6

1 New Member
Hello

I need help in converting char * to TByteDynArray in Borland C++ Builder.

Below code is suppose to work but it give me EAccess Voilation error.
Expand|Select|Wrap|Line Numbers
  1.
  2.    char *one = "test";
  3.    TByteDynArray two;
  4.    two.set_length(sizeof(one));
  5.    Move((void *) one[0], (void *) two[0],sizeof(one));
  6.
This kind of code work in delphi and it is also suppose to work in c+ builder but not working for me.

Thanks for any help anyone can provide.

Best Regards

Alen

char *one = "test";
You don't have an array. All you have is a pointer to a literal and a literal is const. Any attempt to change the value of a literal will get an access violation.

Just create an array and things will work:
Expand|Select|Wrap|Line Numbers
  1. char one[] = "test";
  2.
