Accepting text from keyboard without displaying it on screen.

Is this possible using standard c++?

Thanks

Nope. There is no "keyboard" or "screen" concepts
in the Standard C++. You would have to use some kind
of OS-specific means (like responding to events or
installing some interrupt handler or...)
