Hello,
I have a C++ project that is built using Visual Studio .NET. The
source code is configuration-managed in Clearcase so that I build out
of a Snapshot view on my Windows XP PC. I am able to check files
in/out from the Visual Studio. When building my project, I would like
to generate a build log that contains clearcase version-extended
pathnames to the source files , as in file.c@@/main/3. This way I know
exactly what version of...

I've got an asp.net site that is published to another computer with Windows
2000 and IIS on it using 'Publish/Remote Site'(http://name/BuySellTrade).
Publishing updates the folders in the directory but does not write files to
the location.
What needs to be done so that the asp.net files like the .aspx will be
written to the http directory?

I consider myself somewhat of a neat-freak when it comes to organization
of information. Call me old-fashioned, but I believe that includes
should be in the includes folder, images in the image folder. Hell, the
databases should even be in a database folder. Are there any ways to
configure VS.NET to store vb, xsd, cs, resx, etc... somewhere besides
the root directory? Don't get me wrong, I think Visual Studio .NET is a
great product,...

Introduction
This tutorial describes how to use Visual Studio to create a new C++ program, compile/run a program, resume work on an existing program and debug a program. It is aimed at the beginning CIS student who is struggling to get their programs working. I work in the computer lab at the college I'm attending and I see many students who don't know how to use the IDE for best results.
Visual Studio automatically creates a number of...

I was wondering if anyone knew of any tools or plug-ins for Visual Studio that can be used to capture the intermediate text files generated by the C preprocessor to enable a user to see a representation of their source file but with all macros fully expanded.
I know there is an option to force Visual Studio to generate such files but this gives you EVERYTHING (such as every header linked to the file in question, resulting in massive output...

Most computers default to English, but sometimes we require a different language, especially when relocating. Forgot to request a specific language before your computer shipped? No problem! You can effortlessly switch the default language on Windows 10 without reinstalling. I'll walk you through it.

Overview:
Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...

Hello
I'm a network technician in training and I need your help.
I am currently learning how to create and manage the different types of VPNs and I have a question about LAN-to-LAN VPNs.
The last exercise I practiced was to create a LAN-to-LAN VPN between two Pfsense firewalls, by using IPSEC protocols.
I succeeded, with both firewalls in the same network. But I'm wondering if it's possible to do the same thing, with 2 Pfsense firewalls...
