How to search the text from indexed file using clucene

151 New Member
Good Evening,

I am using clucene for file indexing and searching. I am able to index and search the documents containing the keyword. But i want to get the whole line having that keyword. How can this be implemented?

I read a while back that MySQL will only use one index per query. (If this is not so, please tell me and point me to a doc that gives a good explanation of MySQL's current index usage policy). I'm using MySQL 4.2.x. Here's my dilemma. 1) --------- I have two tables that have records with a FULLTEXT index text field in each of them. The problem is the relationship between the tables is a

Trying to use the 'search' in the docs section of PostgreSQL.org is extremely SLOW. Considering this is a website for a database and databases are supposed to be good for indexing content, I'd expect a much faster performance. I submitted my search over two minutes ago. I just finished this email to the list. The results have still not come back. I only searched for: SECURITY INVOKER

What is the *fastest* way in .NET to search large on-disk text files (100+ MB) for a given string. The files are unindexed and unsorted, and for the purposes of my immediate requirements, can't be indexed/sorted. I don't want to load the entire file into physical memory, memory-mapped files are ok (and preferred). Speed/performance is a requirement -- the target is to locate the string in 10 seconds or less for a 100 MB file. The...

Hello, Im working on a little LAN game in the style of old text-only MUD's and would need to find a way to search for a string in a text file (for example for usernames). I know it works in the way of looking for the first letter, if matches the second and so on, but don't know how to write it. Any suggestions?

Hi, I'm working on a piece of code that - 1. has a list of text files 2. and needs to search for a particular expression in these files (this is being done on Linux using gcc 3.4.2) Currently the search is done using the 'grep' utility on linux. This takes too much time, and kills the responsiveness of the application.

I am trying to perform the following query on a table that has been indexed using Full Text Search. The table contains multiple columns than have been indexed. (Below, all xml columns are indexed). dbo.maintable(ProfileID int pk) dbo.fts_table(ProfileID int pk fk, col1 xml, col2 xml, col3 xml) I want to perform a query that will return any rows that contain ‘x’ and ‘y’ in any columns. I.e. ‘x’ could be in col1 and ‘y’ could be in

Access 2003; PC with Windows XP; SBS 2003 I tried searching the forums but it came up with a blank page. I searched Google and found an answer; but the 'problem' doesn't relate to our situation! We have a table with 24 fields; 1 AutoNumber; 1 Yes/No; 1 Memo; 2 Currency; 5 Number and the rest Text. The AutoNumber (PK), one Text (No Duplicatess) and one of the Number fields (Duplicates OK) are indexed. There is a form to add records to...

Overview: Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...
