(newbie in C#) is it a good idea to use SQL Connection, SQL Data Adapter,...
in C#? when I am design a form, I can use SQL Connection and set the
properties to connect to a database. I guess after unloading the form, this
connection will be closed. but as I know, it's better to open a connection
when we need it and after using, we should close it. I can do it without
using SQL Connection component (by using SqlConnection class). now...

I tried the new Visual Studio 2005 Team System + VSS2005, no Team
Foundation Server. Some questions pop into my head:
1. WITHOUT TFS, can VSS2005 integrated with VS2005? What I like is the
VS6 kind of integration: when I modify a source file in VisualStudio,
VS found out it's readonly and controled by VSS, then pop up a dialog
for me to check out from VSS. It seems like even with TFS, the
integration between VSS and VS is not the same....

I need to move on a step in my PHP...
I know what classes are, both in PHP4 and 5 and I'm aware of "patterns"
existing, but what I'm looking for are some real world projects eg. Open
Source that people consider to use classes and patterns correctly.

We are trying to create a web community for our customers/users.
1. Bugs & feature requests - users can enter both, see status of them, and
vote for which they would like to see addressed. We would like to be able to
give each user a different number of votes.

I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>".
The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed.
