Hi all,
I would like to find a word stored in a text file.
Structure: I have one file named keyWords.txt that stores some key
words I'm interested in finding. In addition I also have a file named
textOrigin.txt in which I store the text to search in.
I would like my prog to check if a certain word appears in the text
and than to tell me what line it found it in (if it did...).
My problem is that the script can't find the words I'm...

Heres the situation:
I got a file with lines like:
name:second_name:somenumber:otherinfo
etc with different values between colons ( just like passwd file)
What I want is to extract some part of it like all names or numbers from
each line, simply text fom between e.g. second and third colon. And turn it

I'm a newbie to this group. my apologies if I break any rules.
I've wrote a simple program to find the first 1,000,000 primes, and to find
all primes within any range (up to 200 * 10^12)
it's pretty efficient, it took 15 minutes to compute the first 1,000,000
primes.

Trying to write a program that will figure out if a number is perfect
or not.
Here is my logic:
1) Read in the number
2) Split it up (number - 1)
3) Put all the split up numbers into an array
4) Figure out if the original number is evenly divisible by any of the
numbers in the array.

I'm creating a template to support state machines. In doing so, I
need to pass an enumeration for the number of transitions and a non
type parameter for the range of the enum (to allow me to allocate an
array of pointers big enough to hold one entry for each transition).

Hi,
I do need to implement something similar to C++'s std::bitset in C; for
this, I use an array of int's to get together any desired number of
bits, possibly larger than 32/64 or anything like this.
So of course it does not matter how many bits a single int has, but I do
need a reliable way to find it out.
