Why don't you read the documentation (or source) from whomever
supplied you that (non-standard) function?

strspn was part of the original C standard, and is part of the current C
standard. <OTAnd if you have trouble understanding when "whom" is
appropriate, please just avoid it, at least until you figure it out.

# 7.21.5.6 The strspn function
#
# Synopsis
#
# [#1]
#
# #include <string.h>
# size_t strspn(const char *s1, const char *s2);
#
# Description
#
# [#2] The strspn function computes the length of the maximum
# initial segment of the string pointed to by s1 which
# consists entirely of characters from the string pointed to
# by s2.
#
# Returns
#
# [#3] The strspn function returns the length of the segment.

I don't see any description of what "spn" means in there.

I think it's obvious that pretty != fit for purpose. Except that, I suppose,
in this case pretty *is* the purpose, and rideability is relatively
unimportant. --Eric Schwartz in the scary devil monastery

I have an ASP.NET web application running on a load-balanced Windows Server 2003 web farm running IIS 6.0, using Active Directory authentication. I'm trying to programmatically create a new directory on a different server in the same domain. Before we switched to 2003, I was able to simply change the user in the machine.config file to a domain user with permissions. In 2003 I have done the following: 1. Created a new domain user...

Overview: Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...

Hello I'm a network technician in training and I need your help. I am currently learning how to create and manage the different types of VPNs and I have a question about LAN-to-LAN VPNs. But I'm wondering if it's possible to do the same thing, with 2 Pfsense firewalls...
