I'm in the process of moving a Python application from Windows to
Linux. This means that the drivers for windows ".dll" now must be
Linux drivers "shared library file" (.so I think). With Windows, I
used:
ctypes ("from ctypes import windll")
Then "_dll = windll.NAME"
I'm not sure how to include this new Linux library. Any suggestions?

to get a remote reference of the service. Now the question: How do I
get the application-project known to the referenced classtype of the
remote object in the service-project ?
Thanx for any help!

Hello,
I created a simple C# library assembly that exposes general facilities I
would like to use in my ASP.NET web applications. If I added the assembly
into the bin directory of my asp.net app, the runtime finds the assembly
without a problem and resolves any references to the classes exposed by the
assembly. However, I do not wish to deploy the assembly into each bin
directory for each web application. I would like to specify the...

Hi,
I have a page form where form elements are created dynamically using
Javascript instead of programatically at the code-behind level. I have
problems accessing the dynamically-created elements and would like to seek a
solution for this.
I had looked through several articles for accessing programatically-created
dynamic elements such as:

Hi,
I have created a class library creating a number of forms and a few public
variables. I have a project that references the .dll for this class
library, and in that project I need to access those public variables.
For instance, the main app calls a form in the referenced library, that form
changes the value of PublicVar1 and then closes. The main app now needs to
know the value of PublicVar1.

I have built a web service whose purpose is to copy files from a secure place
to client machine and vice versa. The problem I am having is perhaps related
to permissions and access rights.
For testing purposes, the secure place is setup on the client machine.
The client (window app) calls the web service (on a different machine) and
connects successfully to the web service. However, when client calls a method
that copies the file from...

Hello,
I have a class inside another class. The Scenario is like Car->Engine, where
Car is a class with a set of properties and methods and Engine is another
class inside it with its own set of properties.
I want to know if there is a way to access the methods and the properties of
the Owner class for the class that's inside it? I.e. I want to find out
within Engine what make the Car is which is exposed by the property
Car.Model.

Hello.
I have developed a COM object using ATL. It seems to work fine when
accessing it from VB.NET most of the time.
However, I want to use a delegate in VB to asynchronously run a method in
one of the interfaces in my COM module (using Delegate.BeginInvoke()). The
interface seems to be "junk" when accessing it from the delegated VB method.
When called synchronously from the same thread using the Delegate.Invoke(),
it seems to work...

Most computers default to English, but sometimes we require a different language, especially when relocating. Forgot to request a specific language before your computer shipped? No problem! You can effortlessly switch the default language on Windows 10 without reinstalling. I'll walk you through it.
First, let's disable language synchronization. With a Microsoft account, language settings sync across devices. To prevent any complications,...

Hello folks,
I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>".
The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed.
This is as boiled down as I can make it.
Here is my compilation command:
g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp
Here is the code in...

Hello
I'm a network technician in training and I need your help.
I am currently learning how to create and manage the different types of VPNs and I have a question about LAN-to-LAN VPNs.
The last exercise I practiced was to create a LAN-to-LAN VPN between two Pfsense firewalls, by using IPSEC protocols.
I succeeded, with both firewalls in the same network. But I'm wondering if it's possible to do the same thing, with 2 Pfsense firewalls...
