I am trying to install vs, but i don't have a prerequisite cd. I have disk1
and disk2 only. Is there way i can download the prerequisite cd from
somewhere?
btw, I don't have the physical CDS. My work has some deal where we just
download our software right from Microsoft.com. When we downloaded VS.NET
all that was there was two .zip files(disk1, disk2).
The file we downloaded was called this:

I want to install VS.NET 2003 on my laptop, but i dont have a copy of the
prerequisites cd any more. I've managed to install it without the cd on my
desktop computer but it was a long time ago, in which i downloaded what i
need off the web. I know the prerequisites cd installs the NET framework and
J# runtimes but else do i need to install?
Any help would do, thanks in advanced!

I think the subject line pretty much says it all...
Say I have a students-classes database and I add a twist. I want to
filter what courses a student can take by comparing the courses he has
taken to the list of prerequisites for the remaining courses.
Everything is fine if a course only has one or no prerequisite. How
do you express in SQL something like:
"Course C" requires "Course A" and "Course B"

I need to install a few prerequisites before the installation of my
application. I need these prereqs to install independantly of my
actual application for packaging purposes.. so i can email my app's
installation(and updates) but provide a cd to clients for the needed
prereqs.
I need to install .NET Framework 1.1, Direct X 9, and the managed
portion of Direct X 9.
What would be the best way to do this?

Am I missing something here? I am checking the radio button "Download
prerequisites from the same location as my application" so that I can
include the .Net 2.0 framework with my application setup. I created a
VM running Win2k copied over the setup (and the dotnetfx directory) and
when I run the install it just tries to install the dotnetfx from the
Web ! ! What else so I need to do? Thanks!

I have a Windows applications built with C# in Visual Studio Express 2005.
The application makes use of 3rd party DLL's as well as DLL's we have built
and placed into the GAC for development purposes. Is there a way to configure
custom prerequisites when creating an installer for this application in
Visual Studio so that when our users install the application they get all the
required DLL's?

hi,
i deployed and tried to run my asp.net project on a newly-formatted pc
and some parts of the project didn't work.
the new pc has iis, .net framework with same version, all required dlls
are registered, all permissions are set. windows updates are done.
what do you think i need more?

the standard .NET 2.0 prerequisite as well as the Crystal Reports
Viewer. Both of these packages are included in VS.NET 2005. Developers
have three choices in how to include any prerequisites in the

I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>".
