Hi,
How do I create a const table of pointers to member functions?
I'm implementing a Factory pattern (or jump table). I want to
iterate through the table, calling each member function until
a non-zero index is returned. Below is my attempt, which

why does the following not work, and what can i do:

Is there any way of declaring the parameter "array" below to be const,
so that the function as written will not compile:

Both define a string literal. Both suppose to be read-only and not to be
modified according to Standard. And both have type of "const char *".
Right? But why does the compiler I am using allow s to be modified, instead
of generating compile error?

Hi guys,
In a program (not my own) I encountered the declaration of a constant
pointer to an array consisting of two other const pointers to arrays.
Not quite sure why they do it so complicated, but is it legal? Most
compilers accept it, but one doesn't recognize the rhs as a constant.
What are the requirements for the rhs in the declaration of a const
pointer? Is the following program legal C?

Hi,
I am having troble declaring a const array. If the array size is
small, then one can do as follows:
const double array = {1, 2, 3, 4, 5};
What if I have an array of size say 1000 or 10000 which, lets say, I
am reading from a data file? Then manually entering the values is
impossible. So how do I declare such a constant array?

it seems i can't assign the const variable u in class A, one way to
solve the problem may be to build a copy constructor. however, why
does C++ or vector class not like this code? my g++ is: gcc version

I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>".
The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed.
