Hey guys, I have a string like "lalala: djkahsd : dajkdassd : adasd :"
Is there a function to find the position of the "I"th occurence of a
character/string? Like lets say I want to find out the position of the
second colon. How do I go about that?? I can only find functions that
return the position of the first or last occurence, but not a variable
occurence ::sniffles::

hi all
having designed my schema to use repeating groups of elements, I found
that some applications (eg. Microsoft InfoPath) refused to recognised
that element as a repeating element.
I subsequently found that out of the three possible ways (that I know
of) of declaring repeating elements in xsd, only one of these was
understood:

I need to find the second to last occurence of a "." in a string.
Basically I am taking a URL like
http://this.is.mydomin.com/path/to/file.txt
and want to extract /path/to/file.txt
I thought I would be able to do it like this:

Hi,
Is there a standard library function that counts the number of
occurences of a character in a string?

Dear all,
I tried to solve the occurence problem: to find the distinct occurences
of a word in an input. I know that I could use map and other STD lib
functions. I tried to do it the hard way. I tried sth and it is working
but I could not structure my algorithm very well so I had to add some
more lines after thinking it on a paper draft. I am posting the whole
code and waiting different ideas.
First I sorted them with the sort function,...

table of string values that appear in all the urls viewed.
My tblWebLog as a field that contains the url ...

I have another table ... tblStrings ... that has a field
for a string value and an integer field to count the
occurence of the string in tblWebLog.

wht's the program which takes two strings using command line arguments and finds the occurence of second string in the first string.The program should return the starting position of first occurence if it is available otherwise should display "NOT FOUND".

I am trying open a text file, and find the occurence of first column string (ie) $v in a separate file which contains only one column.
my code is as follows but somehow it doesn't seem to count the number of occurences in the second file.
#!/usr/bin/perl -w
$datafile = $ARGV;
print "$datafile\n";
open (LIST1, $datafile) || die "File not found\n";

I want to know how to access particular character of a String without using any pre defined functions(like charAt etc)? Since there are no pointers in java and the concept of character array being used as a String...So is there any way to do this?

Most computers default to English, but sometimes we require a different language, especially when relocating. Forgot to request a specific language before your computer shipped? No problem! You can effortlessly switch the default language on Windows 10 without reinstalling. I'll walk you through it.
First, let's disable language synchronization. With a Microsoft account, language settings sync across devices. To prevent any complications,...

Dear forum friends,
With the development of smart home technology, a variety of wireless communication protocols have appeared on the market, such as Zigbee, Z-Wave, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, etc. Each protocol has its own unique characteristics and advantages, but as a user who is planning to build a smart home system, I am a bit confused by the choice of these technologies. I'm particularly interested in Zigbee because I've heard it does some...

Let's talk about the concept of autonomous AI software engineers and no-code agents. These AIs are designed to manage the entire lifecycle of a software development project—planning, coding, testing, and deployment—without human intervention. Imagine an AI that can take a project description, break it down, write the code, debug it, and then launch it, all on its own....
Now, this would greatly impact the work of software developers. The idea...
