I have successfully installed the valgrind-3.2.3 but it is resulting
in following error

My suggestion is to ask in a linux newsgroup, because here the topic is
OT. However, the message seems to state quite clearly that you should be
supposed to have an utility memcheck installed in your system.

Running python 2.3.4 on valgrind (a tool like purify which checks the use of uninitialized memory, etc), gives a lot of errors. See below. jfj@cluster:~/> python -V Python 2.3.4 jfj@cluster:~/> valgrind python ==10517== Memcheck, a.k.a. Valgrind, a memory error detector for x86-linux.

Hi I have been using valgrind to debug a program I have written in C++ and it has been very helpful in eliminating memory errors/leaks. However, I just recently discovered a bug and from what I can see it looks like some kind of memory problem. However, when I run it through valgrind no errors are reported and the bug seems to be gone! I print some status from the program and at some point this becomes wrong but when the program is run...

We're working with some benchmarks designed to test x86 vs. x64 performance (both on a x64 system). To ensure that our assemblies are loaded as x86 or x64, we specifically target our builds to the appropriate platform, avoiding using the "Any CPU" setting. (It's my understanding that on an x64 system, the runtime will JIT an "Any CPU" assembly as x64 if it's able.) All this raised an interesting question: given an arbitrary .NET...

Hello, I'm trying to identify whether my C# .NET 2.0 application is running on a Windows x64 or x86 version. I'm trying to avoid checking the version numbers because this will have to work on Vista too, which shares identical build numbers for x64 and x86. I'm currently using this:

Hello everyone, I am developing C++ COM native code (unmanaged C++) using Visual Studio 2005. I do not take any new features of 64-bit platform, and currently my code runs fine on 32-bit platform (e.g. Windows XP SP2). Now I am researching how to build my code for 64-bit platform (e.g. Windows 2003 Server 64-bit R2)? Any options I need to specify in Visual Studio 2005? The best solution to me is to make a single build for both 32-bit...

Overview: Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...

Let's talk about the concept of autonomous AI software engineers and no-code agents. These AIs are designed to manage the entire lifecycle of a software development project—planning, coding, testing, and deployment—without human intervention. Imagine an AI that can take a project description, break it down, write the code, debug it, and then launch it, all on its own.... Now, this would greatly impact the work of software developers. The idea...

Hello I'm a network technician in training and I need your help. I am currently learning how to create and manage the different types of VPNs and I have a question about LAN-to-LAN VPNs. The last exercise I practiced was to create a LAN-to-LAN VPN between two Pfsense firewalls, by using IPSEC protocols. I succeeded, with both firewalls in the same network. But I'm wondering if it's possible to do the same thing, with 2 Pfsense firewalls...
