I am new to programming , and need help fast, please...

This is all kind of in another language to, I mean I understand most of the words in relation to programming, but my field of work/study is IT. Anyways, on to the problem. I am working on my 5th project and it is running, just not the way it is supposed to. In the "posting guidelines" section it says not to post the whole source code, but that is all I know to do because I have no idea where the problem is. I asked a friend, who is a literally genius, and does not know how to speak dummy so I do not understand what he is trying to tell me. He did the project just for fun and made his ssooo complex that I could not understand that either. I searched the site for an answer to the problem, and have found nothing that will help me. Found something that would have helped me on my last project...lol. The project is due tomorrow by midnight, I have worked on this for several hours, this was a last resort for me because I hate asking for help, and I have kept my 4.0 GPA all throughout college and do not want to lose it to an elective. If anyone can help me please let me know and I will send the source code.

If you can tell what is your problem, whether you are getting errors while compiling or some logical difficulties. As without knowing the issue we cannot help you. Don't paste the whole code but only the part where you doubt that error may occur in that snippet. May you get your solution here only :)

I would start with a few things:

1) Compiler/IDE and version
2) compiler messages (copy and paste directly)
3) the lines the compiler complains about
4) declarations of the variables used on the lines the compiler complains about
5) what you want the program to do upon completion
6) anything you don't understand about the code or problem

That is considered "relevant" information, and will give us a good place to start (maybe anyone else who sees something they might find useful can add it as well)

My name is Sofia and I have for many years been running a personals site, together with my partner, on a non-profit basis. The site is currently not running due to us emigrating, but during its last year we got traffic of between 2000 - 2500 unique visitors per day. We are now about to re-launch the site from Sweden and we need to purchase a script to run it. Having looked at what is available on the net I have realised that we need a...

I have a client who has asked me to find him some solid up and coming embedded engineers. 2 to 3 years expereince with Embedded Linux, VxWorks, Nucleus or any other RTOS who has working in L2/L3 networking. The object is to bring them on board and train in SAN/NAS switching, as long as they are solid C, Unix and Embedded programmers that have the work ethic and talent to be very good, he will train whatever else is necessary. I think I become more and more alone... Everybody tells me that C++ is better, because once a project becomes very large, I should be happy that it has been written in C++ and not C. I'm the only guy thinking that C is a great programming language and that there is no need to program things object oriented. Many people says also that they save more time by programming projects object oriented, but I think its faster to program them in a...

If I buy a multicore computer and I have really intensive program. How would that be distributed across the cores? Will algorithms always have to be programmed and told specifically to run on several cores so if not told it will only utilize one core? So is the free lunch really over or is this just an overhyped phenomena? Is threading with Python hard? Can you start several processes with

Most computers default to English, but sometimes we require a different language, especially when relocating. Forgot to request a specific language before your computer shipped? No problem! You can effortlessly switch the default language on Windows 10 without reinstalling. I'll walk you through it. First, let's disable language synchronization. With a Microsoft account, language settings sync across devices. To prevent any complications,...

Hello folks, I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>". The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed. This is as boiled down as I can make it. Here is my compilation command: g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp Here is the code in...

Dear forum friends, With the development of smart home technology, a variety of wireless communication protocols have appeared on the market, such as Zigbee, Z-Wave, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, etc. Each protocol has its own unique characteristics and advantages, but as a user who is planning to build a smart home system, I am a bit confused by the choice of these technologies. I'm particularly interested in Zigbee because I've heard it does some...

Let's talk about the concept of autonomous AI software engineers and no-code agents. These AIs are designed to manage the entire lifecycle of a software development project—planning, coding, testing, and deployment—without human intervention. Imagine an AI that can take a project description, break it down, write the code, debug it, and then launch it, all on its own.... Now, this would greatly impact the work of software developers. The idea...

Hello I'm a network technician in training and I need your help. I am currently learning how to create and manage the different types of VPNs and I have a question about LAN-to-LAN VPNs. The last exercise I practiced was to create a LAN-to-LAN VPN between two Pfsense firewalls, by using IPSEC protocols. I succeeded, with both firewalls in the same network. But I'm wondering if it's possible to do the same thing, with 2 Pfsense firewalls...
