Hi,
I'm trying to discover a memory leak on a program of mine. I've taken
several approaches, but the leak still resists to appear.
First of all, I've tried to use the garbage collector to look for
uncollectable objects. I've used the next:
# at the beginning of code
gc.enable()

Hi guys
I wrote a short program to test a Tree class... I plan to use it a lot
in my application so thought I would do a memory leak check before I
start using it. The code seems good to me in a glance (new & delete
seem to be called for all dynamically crated objects) but when I run
valgrind, valgrind reports a memory leak.
The problem seems to come when i start using push().
Could anyone help me with this please ? I just don't see...

I was still debugging some code and check for memory leaks with
valgrind and found out that valgrind finds a leak when i use
deque<Somethingaqueue ?! I am compiling under Linux
for example:
#include <deque>
using namespace std;

Hello,
I'm trying to track down a memory issue with a C++ application that
I'm working on:
In a nutshell, the resident memory usage of my program continues to
grow as the program runs. It starts off at a nice 4% of memory, then
slowly grows up to 50% and beyond. This translates to around 2 gigs
of physical memory, and that's really way more memory than this
program should be taking up.

Hi group,
I just noticed that a malloc w/out relative free occurs in the standard
C library (or at least, on my implementation of it).
#include <stdio.h>
int main(void) {
printf("%s\n", "Hello");
return (0);
}

Hi all,
void main()
{
char *fp;
fp=malloc(26);
strcpy(fp,"ABCDEFGHIJKLMNOPQRSTUVWXYZ");
fp='\0';
free(fp);
}

Today I use the valgrind to find the memory leak in my application.
But it just gives me such information:

==4323== 856,984 bytes in 2 blocks are indirectly lost in loss record

==4323== at 0x4021259: malloc (in /usr/lib/valgrind/x86-linux/

I have recently eradicated a lot of memory leaks in a very old C++
source set. However, whilst they were all fairly easy to resolve, I am
confused by the last one. This seems to be related to throwing a
std::exception with a string object.
This is the test program

Most computers default to English, but sometimes we require a different language, especially when relocating. Forgot to request a specific language before your computer shipped? No problem! You can effortlessly switch the default language on Windows 10 without reinstalling. I'll walk you through it.
First, let's disable language synchronization. With a Microsoft account, language settings sync across devices. To prevent any complications,...

Dear forum friends,
With the development of smart home technology, a variety of wireless communication protocols have appeared on the market, such as Zigbee, Z-Wave, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, etc. Each protocol has its own unique characteristics and advantages, but as a user who is planning to build a smart home system, I am a bit confused by the choice of these technologies. I'm particularly interested in Zigbee because I've heard it does some...

Let's talk about the concept of autonomous AI software engineers and no-code agents. These AIs are designed to manage the entire lifecycle of a software development project—planning, coding, testing, and deployment—without human intervention. Imagine an AI that can take a project description, break it down, write the code, debug it, and then launch it, all on its own....
Now, this would greatly impact the work of software developers. The idea...

Hello
I'm a network technician in training and I need your help.
I am currently learning how to create and manage the different types of VPNs and I have a question about LAN-to-LAN VPNs.
The last exercise I practiced was to create a LAN-to-LAN VPN between two Pfsense firewalls, by using IPSEC protocols.
I succeeded, with both firewalls in the same network. But I'm wondering if it's possible to do the same thing, with 2 Pfsense firewalls...
