Failing to install Turbo C++

Tried to install Turbo C++ - including the prereq.zip file - but keep
getting an error message "Unable to execute the specified command
line".
Any suggestions what is going on?

Well, it's probably just too old for your command lines. Try switching
to a newer compiler.

Borland has decided to name its current c++ only version
of BDS as Turbo C++.
http://www.turboexplorer.com/cpp

He may be talking about this one as it has a prereq.zip to
be installed.

Cool. Umm, I think. They stopped offering the command line compiler
for free. I wonder if MS nixed the command line compiler also with
the releas of the free VC Express?

I have to assume that all the Eclipse buzz has reconvinced MS and Borland
that IDEs are marketable. I think compilers should be pluggable into any
IDE rather than tied to a specific IDE, that's why I liked the command line
compiler offerings (I guess that's still possible, except now you have to
buy the IDE to get the CL compiler).

I am taking advanced C++ at college and we use Borland Turbo C++ 4.5 compiler. How different is Turbo C++ from the standard C++? I know Borland used to call their versions of C++ and Pascal Turbo, but that was a long time ago; even the 4.52 compiler is old. This is a requirement for the 4 year BS degree in comp sci, which is a shame as I feel the students shouldnt be taught on old crap. Is it very important to learn C++ on the newest...

Dear colleagues, for one project, I need to link Turbo (or Borland) Pascal with (Turbo) C code. I would strongly like to avoid rewriting (my) C routines to Pascal (other part of project is under Unix [yes, I know about gpc and fpc...), and my clients are medicine doctors, who reject to program in other lang. than Pascal. Linking of Turbo C 2 and TP 5.5 from Borland's "Antique software" works, but there is a well-known problem with...

Hi folks, I'Ve been working with C for quite some time now.but now i am facing a pretty strange problem..I am unable to install it in one of the systems.. I downloaded a turbo c compiler 3.0 from net, extracted the file, copied the file to c:/, went inside TC/BIN and clicked on tc.exe. I got the user interface as usual. But then I am unable to do anything. I can't even move the cursor. I had to minimise it using windows+d and then...

Hello. Is there an official website to obtain Turbo C 1.0? I know that I can download Turbo C 2.0 from Borland, but I want a smaller version, because I expect that older is smaller. I want smaller one because I want to put the compiler to 1 floppy disk with some other marginal space in it.

Let's talk about the concept of autonomous AI software engineers and no-code agents. These AIs are designed to manage the entire lifecycle of a software development project—planning, coding, testing, and deployment—without human intervention. Imagine an AI that can take a project description, break it down, write the code, debug it, and then launch it, all on its own.... Now, this would greatly impact the work of software developers. The idea...

Hello I'm a network technician in training and I need your help. I am currently learning how to create and manage the different types of VPNs and I have a question about LAN-to-LAN VPNs. The last exercise I practiced was to create a LAN-to-LAN VPN between two Pfsense firewalls, by using IPSEC protocols. I succeeded, with both firewalls in the same network. But I'm wondering if it's possible to do the same thing, with 2 Pfsense firewalls...
