Retouch on "For loops to create four right triangle histograms"

16 New Member
When I went back and looked at what came out to see for my message, I saw that it came out a little different than I need it.
I need it like this....

* = asterisks

1st row = 1 *, 9 spaces, 10 *, 10 more * (with no space between the first set of 10 and the second), and then 9 spaces, 1 *,

2nd row = 2 *, 8 spaces, 9 *, 2 spaces, 9 *, 8 spaces, 2 *,

3rd row = 3 *, 7 spaces, 8 *, 4 spaces, 8 *, 7 spaces, 3 *,

4th row = 4 *, 6 spaces, 7 *, 6 spaces, 7 *, 6 spaces, 4 *,

5th row = 5 *, 5 spaces, 6 *, 8 spaces, 6 *, 5 spaces, 5 *,

and so on until you get 10 rows with a total of 4 right triangles that have the first one start at 1 and go to ten and the two in the middle start at 10 and go to 1, and then the last one starts at 1 again and goes to 10.

Was that helpful, or more confusing...?

Please someone help!!!!!

While trying to print a none empty list, I accidentaly put an "else" statement with a "for" instead of "if". Here is what I had: if ( len(mylist)> 0) : for x,y in mylist: print x,y else: print "Empty list" which was supposed to be:

How does one overide the iterator implied by the construct "for line in file:"? For example, suppose I have a file containing row,col pairs on each line, and I wish to write a subclass of file that will transform these to x,y coordinates using an affine transform. I'd like it to look something like this (but this clearly doesn't work): class myFile(file): def __init__(self,name,affine):

Hi there, I am quite new to Python, and have a straight & simple question. In C, there is for (init; cond; advance). We all know that. In Python there are two ways to loop over i=A..B (numerical.): 1) i = A while i<B: ...do something... i+=STEP 2) for i in range(A, B, STEP):

The third part of my attempted Correct C++ tutorial is now available, although for now only in Word format (use free Open Office if no Word), and also, it's not yet been extensively reviewed -- comments welcome! "Intro to loops" <url: http://home.no.net/dubjai/win32cpptut/w32cpptut_01_03.doc> As before I expect that here's mental food and technical points that we can strongly disagree about, for both newbie and the experienced.

Is the domestic usage of the C "for" loop inefficient when it comes to simple incrementation? Here's a very simple program that prints out the bit-numbers in a byte. #include <stdio.h> #include <limits.h> #include <stdlib.h> int main(void) {

Hello I have three "for" loops, two nested into the outer one and they depend on each other, like this: for (x=1; x<100; x++) { .... for (i=1; i<10; i++) {....} for (j=1; j<10; j++)

Overview: Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...
