tools for creating small, practical and portable programs

Greetings.

Recently I created new site: [ http://www.praktisk.org ] with some
tools for creating small and portable programs in C++. Right now there
are such things like: scripting in C++, simplified fonts idea, resources
loader and saver, routines for OpenGL 2d programs, random numbers
organizer.
There are also some examples of using well-known, open source command
line tools.

I'm open for suggestions, opinions, corrections and cooperations.
With kindest regards,
+ +

Python411 is a series of podcasts about Python, aimed at hobbyists and others who are learning Python. Each episode focuses on one aspect of learning Python, or one kind of Python programming, and points to online tools and tutorials. Python related news and events will also be reported upon. This podcast series will probably not be of much interest to expert or professional programmers. I am a hobbyist and am not qualified nor capable...

Hi folks. Can you help with some questions? I gather that some types supported by g++ are nonstandard but have been proposed as standards. Are the long long and unsigned long long types still under consideration for the ANSI C and C++ standards? Are they likely to be accepted into the standards? Which compilers support those types, and which do not?

Hi all: I am a Computer Engineering student, as part of my curriculum I have taken quite a few programming classes. Most of them were given in C++. I am almost done with my studies and I have yet to see a course where they teach how to create an application that uses a GUI. By this I mean a window that has menus like the usual file, edit, view, etc. I know that can be done using C++ in conjunction with other technologies such as ASP, ADO,...

OK, IBM, why are these tools prone to hang-ups, brown screens, and just overall inadequate performance? I've got a standard PC with 1/2 gig of memory but DB2 CC just comes-up with a big brown nothing display....running 8.2.0 and working with HADR but the wizard and HADR panels are crushingly slow when they actually display results. I visit many sites over a year and this is consistent from site to site, client to client so it isn't just...

Hi All, I've written my first piece of practical Python code (included below), and would appreciate some comments. My situation was that I had a directory with a number of subdirectories that contained one or more zip files in each. Many of the zipfiles had the same filename (which is why they had previously been stored in separate directories). I wanted to bring all of the zip files (several hundrd in total) down to the common parent...

Hi Grp http://www.books-download.com/?Book=1493-PHP+Hacks+%3a+Tips+%26+Tools+For+Creating+Dynamic+Websites+(Hacks) Description Programmers love its flexibility and speed; designers love its accessibility and convenience. When it comes to creating web sites, the PHP scripting language is truly a red-hot property. In fact, PHP is currently used on more than 19 million web sites, surpassing

Dear Experts, I've worked with Oracle since 1995. I have gone very deep into many of the Oracle features, including sqlloader, and export/import. And I've done data modelling even longer. At the same time, I have done ETL since 1995. Although, at the Proc, and PLSQL, sqlloader, level.

I don't know if this is the right thread or not, but... In my endless pursuit to hold on to my dinosaur laptop (Dell 1100 Inspiron - circa 2004)...I want to keep as much space free for my programs to run. The problem is that as new software comes out, they seem to take up more and more space on the HD. I use most of the PortableApps.com programs from my usb with great success and ease.

Most computers default to English, but sometimes we require a different language, especially when relocating. Forgot to request a specific language before your computer shipped? No problem! You can effortlessly switch the default language on Windows 10 without reinstalling. I'll walk you through it. First, let's disable language synchronization. With a Microsoft account, language settings sync across devices. To prevent any complications,...

Hello folks, I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>". The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed. This is as boiled down as I can make it. Here is my compilation command: g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp Here is the code in...

Dear forum friends, With the development of smart home technology, a variety of wireless communication protocols have appeared on the market, such as Zigbee, Z-Wave, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, etc. Each protocol has its own unique characteristics and advantages, but as a user who is planning to build a smart home system, I am a bit confused by the choice of these technologies. I'm particularly interested in Zigbee because I've heard it does some...

Let's talk about the concept of autonomous AI software engineers and no-code agents. These AIs are designed to manage the entire lifecycle of a software development project—planning, coding, testing, and deployment—without human intervention. Imagine an AI that can take a project description, break it down, write the code, debug it, and then launch it, all on its own.... Now, this would greatly impact the work of software developers. The idea...

Hello I'm a network technician in training and I need your help. I am currently learning how to create and manage the different types of VPNs and I have a question about LAN-to-LAN VPNs. The last exercise I practiced was to create a LAN-to-LAN VPN between two Pfsense firewalls, by using IPSEC protocols. I succeeded, with both firewalls in the same network. But I'm wondering if it's possible to do the same thing, with 2 Pfsense firewalls...
