Get Untitled message when calling OLE server from MS Excel

2 New Member
Hi,
I am Ajit, I had a problem, I had changed an existing MFC application to Full OLE server so that it can run as standalone as well as through MS Excel or MS Word from "Insert->Object" menu option. But when i tried to open my OLE application through list of avalible object from "Insert->Object" a message box prompt "Save Changes to Untitled?" . I do not know why these message box come and want to stop this message box to display.

To upgrade existing MFC appliction to Full server support I had added
IpFrame class derived from COleIPFrameWnd
and SrvrItem calss derived from COleServerItem

Thanks & Regards

Hi Group - I have written a "semi-program" in MS Excel related to running a football pool. I've updated it over the past two years or so, to the point where it is getting pretty advanced. Only, there are a few tricks that I want to add that I could not do in Excel - so I did them in Python :) Except as it stands, the current python scripts have to be run via the command line. Does anyone know how to allow interaction between Excel and...

Hi all, I have a VB app that runs and manages individual XLS files within a single COM object. Upon processing the final fie, I attempt to close out the EXCEL object and release it using System.Runtime.InteropServices.Marshal.ReleaseComObject. I have a Try...Catch in my routine as seen below and when I receive the error, my Catch is never called so my app sees the release as successful, but when I look in Task Manager, the EXCEL.EXE...

I am using office automation to open and read an excel doc on a K2 workflow server. I get an intermittent bug where I get a pop-up error box in excel saying "Not enough system resources to display properly", and the K2 server reports that the document is in use and is locked. The excel doc opens and reads the data ok, but when calling ExcelWorkbook.Close throws the following error: System.Runtime.InteropServices.COMException (0x800AC472):...

Hello folks, I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>". The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed. This is as boiled down as I can make it. Here is my compilation command: g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp Here is the code in...

Let's talk about the concept of autonomous AI software engineers and no-code agents. These AIs are designed to manage the entire lifecycle of a software development project—planning, coding, testing, and deployment—without human intervention. Imagine an AI that can take a project description, break it down, write the code, debug it, and then launch it, all on its own.... Now, this would greatly impact the work of software developers. The idea...
