Is there a realistic way for some developers on our team to work with
multiple projects in a single solution under VSS source control, and have
other developers only working with a single project from the solution?
Thanks in advance.

Using VS.NET 2003 I have one asp.net application where the modified date
never changes. I have other solutions (asp.net/desktop) where the modified
date does change. This has been going on for several weeks - it claims it
wasn't modified for the past month which is certainly false.
Any ideas how to get VS.NET to update the last modified date of the
solution?
Thanks!

Hi NG,
I needed some information about using SQL Timestamps for resolving
concurrency errors. I bought the book: Pragmatic ADO.NET to aid me in this
endeavor. Some people have asked me if I found a book. This posting is
just to thank the people who responded. There is no need to respond further
to this posting.
Cheers,

Hello,
Thanks to some wonderful advice form this group, I am actually getting a
little bit good at this ASP.NET thing!! I have created pages that could
even be useful!!
Anyway, one place where I am struggling is that the book I'm using
(ASP.NET Unleashed by Stephen Walther, good in almost every other
respect) doesn't have any kind of reference for the C# language. I keep
getting stuck in cases where I know what I want to do, but don't...

I'm looking for a good book on ASP.net. I'm looking for a book that builds
a project throughout the book - not disjointed examples for every chapter.
I have a book on ASP standard called "Web Application Development Using
Microsoft Visual InterDev 6.0". This book builds a website for a college.
Each chapter is a progressive stage in the building of the web site. This
is the kind of book I want for ASP.net.
Any recommendations?

Buffer overflows are a fact of life, and, more specifically, a fact of
C.
All is not lost however. In the book
"Value Range Analysis of C programs" Axel Simon tries to establish a
theoretical framework for analyzing C programs. In contrast to other
books where the actual technical difficulties are "abstracted away",
this books tries to analyze real C programs taking into account
pointers, stack frames, etc.

Hello folks,
I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>".
The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed.
This is as boiled down as I can make it.
Here is my compilation command:
g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp
Here is the code in...

Dear forum friends,
With the development of smart home technology, a variety of wireless communication protocols have appeared on the market, such as Zigbee, Z-Wave, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, etc. Each protocol has its own unique characteristics and advantages, but as a user who is planning to build a smart home system, I am a bit confused by the choice of these technologies. I'm particularly interested in Zigbee because I've heard it does some...

Let's talk about the concept of autonomous AI software engineers and no-code agents. These AIs are designed to manage the entire lifecycle of a software development project—planning, coding, testing, and deployment—without human intervention. Imagine an AI that can take a project description, break it down, write the code, debug it, and then launch it, all on its own....
Now, this would greatly impact the work of software developers. The idea...

Hello
I'm a network technician in training and I need your help.
I am currently learning how to create and manage the different types of VPNs and I have a question about LAN-to-LAN VPNs.
The last exercise I practiced was to create a LAN-to-LAN VPN between two Pfsense firewalls, by using IPSEC protocols.
I succeeded, with both firewalls in the same network. But I'm wondering if it's possible to do the same thing, with 2 Pfsense firewalls...
