I'm using interfaces in C++ by declaring classes with only pure virtual
methods. If then someone wants to implement the interface they
needs to inherit from the class. If the implementing class forgets to
implement some method I normally get a compile error(if the class is created
in some way of course). When using the Visual
Studio 6 compiler however, it does not generate a compile error in this

I am having a problem with the cl compiler. I have written a C class
(RegConnect.c) which uses Win32 API functions such as RegOpenKey,
RegCloseKey etc. Initially when I was trying to create a dll, using
the cl compiler I was getting many unresolved external errors, Example
1 below (8 in total, 7 to do with the registry function calls and 1

if I declare a character array as char s, and try to use it as any
other character array..it works perfectly fine most of the times. It
holds strings of any length. I guess what is happening here is that
this array initially holds only '\0' and hence is of length 1.

Hi,
I'm getting some very strange problems with some C# code. We're running
an ASP.NET application on a local server in a DMZ. If I access it using
the internal address, the application works fine, every time. But, if I
access on it's public IP, from my office workstation, from home, over
the VPN, a test machine on ADSL, or whatever else you please, it fails.
But only about 60% of the time.
I have tried everything to pin this down....

Hello to all!
For a long time I have been "fighting" a problem compiling an OpenGL
program which uses GLUT. First I have put a question in a Watcom group
(I want to use this compiler) to which I got no reply, in an OpenGL
group somebody recommended me to use Visual C++ which I did. That worked
OK but I do would like to use Watcom.
In the meantime I found solutions to several of the errors I got but one
